Brockman is a composite of Jerry Dunphy and Hal Fischman. End of story.
He *looks* almost exactly like Dunphy, and he *talks* almost exactly like
Fischman. No, change that... he talks *exactly* like Fischman (same
facial expressions, too - especially the eyebrows!). Face it folks, the
Simpsons writers and producers live and work in LA, and that's why they're
using these particular local newscasters as inspiration.
