PS. This is also the episode with one of the greatest scenes: Skinner is
"welcoming" Samantha to the school, and he looks away, into the blind in
the window and remember when he came home from Nam: 'They promised me a
parade when I got back, but instead they spat on me! I can still feel it
sting!'.

It seems Milhouse is always a scape goat. For example, in "Grade School
Confidential," to keep Bart quiet about Skinner and Krabappel's relationship,
Bart's permanent record is merely moved to Milhouse's record. There are other
situations where Milhouse is shown as a scape goat.

It was never revealed that Millhouse has "blatant" homosexual tendencies. All
we saw in that ep was a file folder, and the quick comment by the guidance
counselor. Does the analysis of a guidance counselor at the age of five mean
someone is gay? I think you missed the point. This was typical Groening
cynicism. Bart loves school at first, until his bitter teacher turns him
against education. Groening is commenting, in his usual ascerbic way, on the
absurdity of pigeonholing children at such a young age.

I'm pretty sure you're both thinking of "Lisa's Sax." "Bart the Genius" gave
no indication of Milhouse's sexual preferences.

A running joke about Milhouse being gay? I don't think so. I have never
watched more than five minutes of Friends, but I hardly doubt the references
to Chandler being gay were quite as subversive as how Milhouse is portrayed
as gay.
Take the folder-viewing incident. No one jumps out and calls Milhouse gay.
We read his folder, mistakenly thinking we're reading Bart's (even though
Vanhotten and Simpson are not that close in the alphabet). This and several
other instances point that he is clearly gay.

Kindergarten guidance councellors are not qualified to determine a persons
sexuality. My 1st grade councellor put me in remedial reading, yet I was in the
top 10% of my class in the Computer Engineering program in college.
What other instances have you seen which point to Milhouse being gay. I
haven't seen any, but I will admit to having missed one episode.

Other instances of Milhouse's _possible_ homosexuality:
The Lisa future wedding episode, when Marge makes some comment about Lisa's
dress (something white), and she goes, "you know, Milhouse." (somebody else
can tell that one better than I can, for sure).
Another would be the time Bart (I think) walked in on Milhouse doing
something that was strange. OK, i'm being very vague here, somebody help me
out, it's late.
I'll post more when I get some sleep.
Undoubtedly, Milhouse is the scapegoat of The Simpsons. However, this does
nothing for the argument of whether or not he is gay. Good example, however,
as I am temporarily unable to give any specific ones!

That episode is actually conclusive proof of Milhouse's hetrosexuality. What
Lisa is refering to is the fact that she is not techically qualified to wear a
white dress (a symbol of virginity) because she apparently consumated a brief
affair with Milhouse. Later in the same episode, when Milhouse hears that Lisa
is getting Married, he's devastated that he's lost Lisa, his "One True Love".

Yeah, I seem to remember Milhouse shouting "Don't open the door! Don't open the
door!", but this could be related to the normal activities of an adolecent
hetrosexual male (although it would be rather percocious for Milhouse).

Call me naive, but I never took this for a homosexual reference. Particularly
since, in the same episode, he is obviuously still very much attracted to her
when Homer mentions that she is getting married.
I took it to mean that she and Milhouse were just experimenting and that
doesn't count.

???
You're thinking of Marge and Homer yelling it. It was that time where they
were naked except for their pillows. That's the only time I remember anyone
yelling "Don't open the door." multiple times, and Bart was the person opening
the door.

Maybe he's thinking of when Krusty's rabbi father walks in on Krusty in the

shocked and Krusty yells, "close the door!"

Milhouse and Lisa had had sex. So Milhouse is definately not gay.
