Cut out Simpsons scenes!!!

Hi all,
I see that on the CBC or Fox (when they show reruns) they cut out some
great scenes. They are mostly drug type ones. Thoes are my fav. A few they
cut out...
When they go to hullabalooza, Otto's shoes talk to him.. "Don't worry Otto,
we won't hurt you..."
When the ads come to life, a giant devil picks up Ottos' bus and he goes
"Whoa! Another acid flash back!"
One that they haven't cut out, and I'm glad...
Home eats the insanity pepers, and then runs like a hooer, and Ralph is
about to go after him, and Otto goes, "Let him go, little Ralph, he knows
what he's doing."
If you know any others, just post them...

Just wait till it goes into syndication; it'll be gone just like that.

Some of my favorite drug references are:
1) Marge drinks water from the kitchen sink after Homer says something
about Shelbyville said they would get back at Springfield by spiking
their water supply. Marge starts hallucinating ie. the walls start
melting and the turkey jumps out of the oven and runs away.
2) When Patty and Selma take Bart and Lisa to Duffland, they take a boat
ride through it's a small world after all ripoff. Bart dares Lisa to
drink the water, but she doesn't want to , so either Patty or Selma (I
don't remember which) says " Bart shut up, Lisa drink the water!". Lisa
drinks the water and starts tripping. At one point she says " I can
feel the music". After they take her to the hospital, the Doctor gives
her a handful of pills to take. When they go home and Mage asks them
how thier day was, Lisa responds in classic Homer style, " can't talk,
coming down'. That was a great episode, and I desperately want to get
it on tape.
3) The Simpson clan is driving home from a flea market, and Homer asks
everyone what they bought. Bart says " I got this neat pencil holder"
and holds up a bong. Homer responds " I haven't seen a bong in years".
4) In the Hubbapalooza episode their are many examples. Otto's shoes
talk to him while he's tripping, Lisa asks Bart at one point " what's
that smell?' and Bart responds " it smells like Otto's jacket" refering
to Otto's affinity for Cannabis . While carpooling with the kids, Homer
is talking about classic rock and says " the bong rattling bass of Mark
Fournier". In the end someone says that the best part of being a
musician is teh music and one of the guys from Cypress Hill says " that
and getting toasted, nicely toasted."
Also, while the bands are practicing back stage, someone asks who
ordered the London Symphony Orchestra and nobody responds, so he says it
again , but this time he adds " possibly while high, Cypress Hill I'm
looking at you." And they confer and agree they did order them even
though they didn't.
5) In the episode of when Homer met Marge, Homer and Barney are busted
in the bathroom smoking pot. Then in the prom scene, the principal
(Dundalinger was his name I think) asks a student " is that a bong in
your jacket, do you have asthma?" the student nods his head and the
principal lets him through.
6) In the Chilli cook-off episode Homer is obviously tripping hard.
7) When Bart gets a credit card he oders a dog through the mail. SLH is
taken away and given to a blind man. In the end Laddie the Collie
sniffs a bag of pot out of the blindman's pocket.
The cops decide to investigate this and end up listening to Bob Marley
and getting high with chicks and beer too. I laughed sooo hard at
that..
8) Not to mention all the times the family just randomly hallucinates.
Like when Bart is so mad at Homer because he forgot to pick him up, that
he sees Homer's face melting. Or when Homer is in love with Mindy his
new co-worker, and sees her riding a clam shell with Carl and Lenny as
little angels flying above. In that same episode Homer drives backward
down the highway and ends up in tout hatchery. The fish chant " Homer
loves Mindy, Homer loves Mindy".
That is all I can think of now, if you know any more post em, I'd like
to see them.

What about the all-syryp-squishy episode, don't Bart and Milhouse trip
for a moment before they go crazy "Broadway Style!" I know Barney
does after he takes a sip and refers to Bart and Milhouse as "Pixies"

Don't forget the Halloween episode where the advertisments come to life
and one of them picks up the schoolbus. Otto then says something like
"Whoa, another acid flashback, good thing I'm not driving the schoolbus."

I know I'm not replying correctly, but it seems that no one has quite
figured this out.
One of the funniest drug (alluding) scenes, IMHO, is when the cops are
getting stoned off the blind guys' weed. This occurs during the credits of
the episode when Bart gets the Lassie dog and loses Santa's Little Helper.
Wiggums and the black dude are singing the reggae classic, Jammin'.
Freaking hilarious.
Our local radio station plays this occassionally in the morning and I never
knew where it came from until I hung around for the credits to this
episode. BTW, you may want to listen to this morning show on Real Audio at
www.knrk.com. No, I don't have any connections there, I just find the show
hilarious and most of you have probably already heard various clips from
the show, such as Donald Duck getting a BJ, etc. 5-9 am PST.

cleaners, which is what happened to Homer. Anyway, the cuts mentioned
were made to allow for more commercial time. I'm not sure if they were
taken out because of drug references, or just because they were not
integral to the plots of the episodes.

What ep is the above scene from?? It's been cut? I thought i've seen
them all.. but i don't remember that scene...

When Bart & Lisa are trying to get Krusty back together with his estranged
father, a rabbi. Lisa comes out of the library exhausted, hands Bart a
sheet of paper and tells him her last effort is a long shot but it's all
she's got unless she learns ancient Hebrew. I've noticed they cut the look
Bart gives her which prompts her to reply, "I'm NOT going to learn ancient
Hebrew!"
They sometimes cut the second fall of Homer crashing down the canyon after
stopping Bart from daredeviling across the gorge/canyon on his skateboard.
You know: when the ambulence finally gets him inside, drives off, crashes
into a nearby tree which prompts the back doors to burst open, sending
Homer on the gurney rolling/falling down the steep incline again.

I can't say for certain that they edit specific scenes for content. I
believe that the FCC allows more commercials to be aired on reruns, so that
is why they cut scenes. My main complaint is that whoever does the editing
seems to cut without regard to the quality of the scene- they cut out some
of the best lines.

That's from the Stampy the Elephant episode .. when Marge makes them
clean house. They show when Homer blows the papers around with the leaf
blower, but they cut the cleaning agents scene for syndication. Alas,
I've never seen it either .. just read about it in the episode synopsis.

Syndication cuts are nothing new. I've been bitching about them for over 20
years. Would one want the Mona Lisa w/out her smile, the Taj Mahal minus a
spire. Hell, I get POed when some idiot DJ cuts the ends off my fave songs, so
why should it be different for visual works of art? Who allows this? Be
