The one and only time I've ever heard of a blackhead gun is on The Simpsons.
I still don't know WTF it is.

If it exists (I hope it doesn't) it probably pops and drains zits.

I wonder if there's such a thing as an electric nostril groomer.

I guess you didn't read comic books in your youth. I'm sure I saw them
advertised there. Probably other places, but comic books are what comes
to mind when I think of them. I know there was advertising for such
things.

Yes, on both counts.

Oh, and blackhead guns don't work. Or at least I was never smart
enough to figure out how to operate it, one or the other. My father's
made use of an electric nostril groomer for many years though.

If you've ever worked with electronics, it's a lot like a solder
sucker.

That's funny, because without having paid much attention to blackhead
guns, but aware that they did exist, every time I pick up my solder sucker
I think of blackhead guns.

I typed "blackhead gun" (with the quotes) into Google and got WTMI
about all the phenomenal things they do for mankind, including this
page that claims you can vacuum-clean the juice out of yer zits:
http://blackheadgun.org/vacuumblackheadremover/

I think this a picture of a blackhead gun. The correct spelling of
the word is "comedones" (Freudian slip?). http://www.beautycarelines.com/what-is-a-blackhead-gun/

What is a blackhead?
In many ways one can look at blackheads as the basis for acne and pimples. Blackheads are most common on the forehead and cheeks. There are several types of blackheads:

1. Open Blackhead (black blackheads) Ses as black dots in the skin. The color is due to pigment Melanin.

2. Closed Blackhead: Ses as white dots in the skin.

3. Makrokomedoner: Large blackhead, over 2-3 mm in diameter.

4. Solare comedones: Frames older, and is related to sun exposure.

5. Mikrokomedoner: Small blackhead under the skin that is not visible with the eye. The basis for acnes.
