Was anyone else physically sickened by homer's crusty eyes?

Just curious. I couldn't get that image, or the noise it made, out of my
head for about a week afterwards.

Can't seem to remember what episode that was now.. I know it was this season
(obviously).

That sassy ep was from April's "Last Tap Dance in Springfield", where Lisa is
the tap dance teacher

Tapa-tappa-tappa!

I had the nice mixture of disgust and amusement. Very nice mixture.

Hey, it's your own fault. That particular scene was in countless promo's for
the ep. If you don't like it, then don't watch. Nobody's *forcing* you to turn
on the tv.

Good lord, man. Don't jump to conclusions. Maybe I liked the episode as a
whole, just not that part, how do you know?

And besides, I really don't watch TV at all, except for a few special shows
like The Simpsons, so I really don't think it's my fault that I failed to
see the promos for it. Feh.

Heh, Sorry about that. It just suddenly popped into my mind a while ago.
Disturbing mental picture..

yes, i was physically sickened by it. but i was also sickened by Moe and Lenny
getting a spring caught in their eyelids (which i think was more gruesome than
homer's crusty eyes) and Homer's teethe after eating pearls.
on a more disturbing note, on that same episode, when Bart and Milhouse are in
the mall and Bart jumps onto the giant tube of cookie dough, making it come out
Milhouse's nose--slow the tape down, or watch it frame by frame----let's see,
what's the least genteel way to say this--
basically Milhouse looks like he's getting ready to give the tube a blow job.
you think i'm joking?

Now that you mention it--yes I was.

This is the second time laser eye surgery has gone badly for a *Simpsons*
character (the other being future Ned and his "Nazi" sunglasses).

Judging by what I've seen of season 11, it's impossible to say if that's
a joke or not.

BTW, was "Kill the alligator and run" on at the weekend on Sky One? I
get the impression that it was, but I missed it.

Another nice sound is when mad scientist Burns pulls Homer's brain out.
"Look- I'm Davy Crockett!"

Sure, everyone wants to preserve Hitler's brain but when you put it in the
body of a Great White Shark, they say that's going too far.

Now that Homer has had laser eye surgery, I guess he doesn't
need that pair of glasses that he found in the toilet at work
any more.

I wonder if this also means the end of the "reading glasses" he's had for
the last few seasons.

Nope. He doesn't wear them to see better. He wears them to feel
really really inteligent.

Those crusty eyes really made me sick. I had finally managed to
forget about them, until you mentioned it. Thanks for the
memories. :-)

The promo made me sick. Whose fault is that?

"It's Krusteriffic laser eye surgery, Johnny Unitas! But is my eye
supposed to crust over like this?"

"Probably."

I thought the more disgusting part was when Homer's severed skullcap rolled
around.

Based on the current direction of the show, I would have to say "yes."
