ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A dog that was allegedly torched and
abused has died. The St. Louis Animal Cruelty Task Force says
the dog, named “Brownie,” was found tethered to a short, heavy
chain on Thursday with burns all over its face and body.
“Brownie” was found in the 4300 block of Cote Brillante and was
immediately taken to Veterinary Specialty Service, but did not

Task Force investigators are hoping that someone knows what
happened to “Brownie” that can help with their investigation.
Stray Rescue and CrimeStoppers are working together to provide a
reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of
the person or persons involved.

Update below with charges: The St. Louis woman who animal
rescuers and police believe torched Brownie the dog to death has
been arrested and is expected to face felony charges. And public
comments discussing the violent act on her Facebook page will
likely help bolster the prosecution's case.
A day before the dog was rescued, barely clinging to life, the
woman, Adrienne Martin, wrote on Facebook, "I'm on killa mode
.....#killdogs.com.....today." The following day, she wrote,

"That combination of arrogance and evilness is a volatile
