no boom today...

wrong show

Loved this one. Very cool plot, more Blair resourcefulness, cut hole in
elevator and drop the bomb out. And Simon's line, "That's his friend in there,
and if you loved your daughter half as much..." or however that went--hits ya
right in the smarm.

Odd note: In Blind Man's Bluff Jim loses his sight and navigates by sonar.
The bad guy, Rachins/Galileo, played Daredevil in a Incredible Hulk tv movie
crossover. The blind superhero who can see through sonar.

The Chopec Warrior Princess
Words of Wisdom: Experience is something you don't get until just after you
needed it.

I liked this one, but it's not one of my favorites because it doesn't have
enough Sentinel stuff in it. I wonder why Simon didn't have Jim search the
building in the beginning instead of Brown. Galileo wouldn't have been able
to hide under that tank, or whatever it was.

Simon probably expected his officers to have a little more smarts than
they showed this time. I mean, you're searching a room filled with
crawlspaces and pipes and no one looked under these massive pipes to
see if anything (not to mention anyone) was hiding in the space below
them?
Other than that, very nice. Blair's idea was lovely (that boy has much
more common sense than most). Would have liked more Sentinal stuff, but
all in all, not bad.

Simon probably didn't have Jim do the search because Brown was the bomb expert.
How would he feel if Simon sent Jim to look for the bomb?

Not to mention that Simon doesn't really like to dwell on the whole Sentinel
thing. He pretty much likes to ignore it, hoping it goes away, I guess.

Whoops! Okay, I've not sat down, yet, to watch this eppy.... But I know that
Brown isn't the "bomb expert" here. That's Joel Taggart.

Wondering if Simon was drawing on Jim's military experience with the hostage
negotiations.

Of course we all know that the real reason is because if Jim found Galileo
there would be no story. It just disappoints me that the writers often seem
to ignore what the show is about for the sake of the action or plot. Spare
Parts is one episode that comes to mind because it's an episode I really
enjoyed, but aside from Jim's reaction to the sage, I don't think he used
his heightened senses once during the entire show. If a newbie had seen one
of these episodes as an introduction to TS, he/she would be wondering what
this heightened senses stuff is all about. My favorites episodes are the
ones that focus on Jim's senses or where he uses them alot, otherwise it's
just a cop show.
