After watching every episode of Seinfeld numerous times, I have found that
there are a few inconsistencies with the plots. One episode says one
things, while another episode says a complete opposite. I will document
them in this post.(Keep in mind that Seinfeld is my favorite show and I am
not in any way bashing it). Enjoy!

1. In an early episode, George has sex with a girl in his parents bed
because his bed is too small. But in an episode at the end of the series it
is revealed that 20 years before Frank and Estelle got separate beds. The
beds looked very small and probably wouldn't support George, let alone him
and a girl.

2. When Jerry shaved his chest hair, Kramer showed him his thick-hairy
chest due to him shaving it when he was a lifeguard. But in the "Nipple
Episode" a few years before, Jerry and Kramer both lift up there shirts to
reveal there nipples and Kramers chest hair looks fine. (And I seriously
doubt that he got a lifeguard job within that timeframe)

3a. The episode where George said he had a brother, but he didn't have a
brother.
3b. Kramers original name was Kessler.
3c. Jerry and Georges fathers were played by different actors.
(These were just early show developments but I thought I'd throw them in
anyway)

4. When Jerry's father was impeached(or resigned in his case) they left
those condos and moved to Del Boca Vista. But when Jerry went to go buy his
Cadillac back from Jack Clumpus, it showed on that map that Jerry was going
to Del Boca Vista. Why would Jack be in Del Boca Vista when he was elected
president of the other condominium complex?

5. (THIS IS FROM MAD ABOUT YOU)
When Paul Reiser went to go give Kramer his apartment, he said "What ever
happened to that Jerry guy?". But in a later episode of Mad About You, Paul
saw Jerry Seinfeld on the street.(NOT the cereal eating, 1 room apartment
Jerry Seinfeld. The multimillionaire, sitcom star Jerry Seinfeld)

Well, thats it for now. If anyone else finds any, post them I'd like to
check them out.

How long did it take you to figure that out? I was just trying to bring an
interesting post to this dying newsgroup.

Another one, In the Ex-Girlfriend George claims to have said I love you to a
girl, but in the face painter he says he only said it to a dog.

I don't think Kramer shows Jerry his chest hair......there is a reason
Kramer is off screen, he shows him another place with hair........

You're right, but I assumed that since they were talking about chest hair,
that it was his chest hair that he showed him. Of course I could be wrong.

In the Mad About You episode, no mention is made of Jerry's bank account or
whether or not he had a TV series. It's entirely concievable that Paulie and
Ira recognized Jerry as somewhat successful, mid-level comic.

Having said that, there is a major Seinfeld/Mad About You inconsistancy. Kramer
sublet his apartment from Paul Buckman, so obviously Seinfeld and Mad About You
exist in the same TV universe. However, one night, George and Susan watched MAD
in bed. In theory, they could have been watching the episode Kramer appeared
on. Worlds Collide!

Ignore the negative comments from those who don't understand.

If you want to read about some more Seinfeld inconsistencies, check out

I don't know about that one. Since George is consistently portrayed as an
almost pathological liar, for him to make contradictory statements could be
regarded as entirely "consistent". :)

In an earlier episode, George's parents referred to an older brother
that he had.

Yes, it was mentioned several times that George had a brother. Elaine also has
a sister, Gail, from St. Louis, and Jerry has a sister as well.

I recall the references to George's and Elaine's sibs, but when was
Jerry's sister mentioned? How often?

Why would that be "inconsistent"?
They never said they didn't after or before that. They just never mentioned them -
except Elaine who did mention her sister, nephew, and brother-in-law.

Right you are...mentioned in passing, though we never meet her (or any of the
other siblings of principal characters, either George's brother or Elaine's
sister). Closest we come is a phone conversation between Elaine and her sister;
we only hear and see Elaine's end of the call.

Jerry actually has one sister, Carolyn, in real life. She's a CPA and does a
lot of celebrities' taxes and financial planning, including Jerry's.

Jerry's apartment is impossible, you walk into it, turn to the left, and the kitchen is cut back into where the hall is on the outside
