What's Elaine's alma mater?

We know Jerry (both fictional and real) and George attended Queens College, and
one doubts Kramer had any education past high school (if that), but what
college did Elaine Benes attend? We know she's from Towson, Maryland, so did
she attend the University of Maryland at College Park? UM's Baltimore County
campus? Towson State? Or did she go to a more toney college such as Goucher or
an elite private institution like Johns Hopkins--or even an Ivy League school?
(At times she can seem snooty enough.) One assumes she has a liberal arts
degree, given the jobs she's had over the years.

I've never seen any reference to her education on the show, and one wonders if
it's even included in a character biography the writers use for background.

I'm betting it was a private college since her father was an emminent writer. With
enough bucks and the right connections anyone can get into nearly any college. We
also know that she has a superb IQ ('The IQ Test') so I imagine it was probably
somewhere private and co-educational (Hey she put's out.)

I can't believe I'm saying this,
but that's a really good question.

Also, I don't think it's fair to say that Kramer OBVIOUSLY didn't go to
college. I actually think Kramer is intelligent- he's just not the academic
type. Probably had problems with attention in school, and hyperactivity.

Of course, I'm infatuated with the character, and that's what I want him to
be.
Elaine is also very intelligent. Jerry and George are too, but imo not as
much as
Kramer and Elaine. just mho.

Elaine went to Northwesten University located in Evanston, Illinois and she
studied theater and drama. She has been on TV for a while but nothing as big
as Seinfeld. I also think she was on Saturday Night Live for a bit and that
where she met her husband because he was one of the directors for the show.

When Kramer takes part in Elaine's Bachelor auction, we learn that he
has a high school equivalency degree.

That's Julia Louis-Dreyfus in real life; I was referring to Elaine Benes, the
fictional character (though J L-D's portrayal makes her look sufficiently
real!).

Also, let me state to Kramer fans that I was not shortchanging his intelligence
by any means. But given his character, he does not seem like the type who would
spend four years in an academic environment.

Everyone be gentle...Anushka is new...WELCOME TO THE PARTY...hahaha,
it really isn't that much fun, but we like to THINK it is.

Anushka, well-intentioned, etc., has made one of the crucial errors.
One of those errors that some folks won't stand for. She will likely
be flamed for this error; yet, I somehow feel she is bigger than all
that.

But the error is -- just for reference, mind you -- don't confuse the
character Elaine with the lovely REAL person JLD, who did indeed go to
Nwestern.

That's it...I'm OUTTA HERE...

I think that sounds right...I can't see Kramer getting a formalized
education, either, as someone else said. But I think he is brilliant.

I don't know, we all know people like that. The ones who don't go to
college and don't get into the bureacracy/"the system"...the crazy ones who
live life unconventionally.
