That question makes me wish I had a filing system for my tapes. I think it
was popinjay. But I can't remember the rest of it. I don't *think* I
recognized it ( which would prove nothing, anyway) but I would sure like to
see more of it. What really set him off. I think was the talk about papier
mache. I note that the American Heritage Dictionary allows the
pronunciation she used.
On a related note: when will people realize that silicon is an element and
silicone is a plastic?

whether or not this is an actual Carlyle quote.
