What was the first episode Newman appeared in?
My best guess is the one in which a policeman was trying to catch the
"White Whale" - a person who had a string of unpaid parking tickets.
Newman was that person. In the ep. the policeman was ready to catch
Newman, and Kramer thwarted the attempt.
Is this the one? If so, what else happened in this episode?
Matthew Billington.
the very first episode ever did not even show his face but it was when
kramer was trying to stop newman from commiting suicide for some
reason. idont remember the # or the rest of the plot but in the
orignal airing Larry David did the Voice of newman from the rooftop and
then in the reruns after Wayne Knight started playing the role the dubed
his voice over, the fist episode when you finally saw his face was i
think the same episode when George asked newman why postal workers go
crazy and kill people and newman lost it! classic

I believe "The suicide" was the first Newman episode. That's the episode
where Jerry dates his neighbours girlfriend. The neighbour is in a coma.
That's also the episode where George visits a physic and gives kramer
tickets to the Caymens because he thinks he's in danger.

the episode you're talking about aired on 1/26/95 - "the scofflaw"
A guy Jerry knows fakes that he has cancer to get sympathy. Elaine gets
back at Jake Jarmel by buying the same frames as him. George gets a hair
piece. Kramer interferes when a cop was just about to catch an illeagal parker
that has been eluding him for years (Newman).

Dreggs?!?! It's Drake's Coffee Cake...and Drake's Bear Claws too.
Other Drake's Cakes mentioned on the show are Ring-Dings. And who can forget Yankee Doodles and Yodels? Or am I getting mixed up with Tasty-Cakes, makers of Krimpets and Tandy-Takes? Sorry, I've lived in the south so long that Little Debbie and Moon-Pies have rotted my memory.
