Monday, May 11, 1998, an anonymous caller telephoned 107.9 The End, a
radio station in Cleveland, Ohio. According to the caller, he has been
employed for the past 2 years on the set of Seinfeld. After adding a
few funny lines to a couple of episodes, most importantly the series
finale, he was offered an assistant directorship on the Seinfeld
spin-off "Kramer", which is tentatively set to air in September as part
of the NBC Wednesday night line-up. According to the caller, the
promise of an assistant directorship and the show's promise to edit out
the "Puerto Rican flag burning scene" in last week's episode were both
revoked. Scorned by this turn of events, and in light of escaping the
secrecy agreement that all workers were required to sign, the caller
proceeded to divulge the details. Here goes...
The episode is titled "The Sinatra." Both Jerry's father and George's
father die. Jerry's father dies while on the phone and George's father
while watching television. Both of the fathers' wills insisted they be
buried in a coffin manufactured in Hobokin. Jerry and George fight over
who will get the coffin. Meanwhile, Kramer, as he trifles through the
late-Mr. Costanza's things discovers a Festivas document stating that
Frank be cremated and his ashes scattered in the desert. Elaine and Mr.
Peterman somehow figure into the mess as well.
So there it is - a brief sneak preview of what's to come.
