Simple question. Did anyone recognize what song George ripped off for his
answering machine?
the origina lyrics go something like this
Belive it or not, I'm walking on air..
I never thought I could be so freeeeeeeeeeeeee
flying away on a wing and a prayer...
who could it beeeeeeeeeeeeee
believe it or not, its just ME.
the things I remember!
It Shrinks
p.s. as opposed to
Believe it or not George isn't at home,
please leave a message at the beep!
I must be out, or I'd pick up the phone...
Where could I be>??
Believe it or not I'm not home!
Just Me, Lisa.

The original lyrics went like this.
Believe it or not I'm walkin' on air.
I never thought I could feel so free.
Flying away on a wing and a pray.
Believe it or not its just me.
Do you mean the lyrics to the SONG, or the George lyrics? -John

I don't know. Was it one of his own songs (Jason A. is a singer)?
Look at what's happened to me
I can't believe it myself
Suddenly I'm on top of the world
Shoulda been somebody else
CHORUS:
Believe it or not I'm walking on air
I never thought I could feel so free
Flying away on a wing and a prayer
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me
Just like the light of a new day
It hit me from out of the blue
Breaking me out of the spell I was in
Making all of my wishes come true
CHORUS
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me

Pretty cheesy isn't it??!!!

Don't know the name-I think it's the theme song from a television show
from the early 80's(late70's?) called "The Greatest American Hero"??
Chorus lyrics:
Believe it or not I'm walkin on air; I never thought I could feel so free.
Flyin away on a wing and a prayer, who could it be-
believe it or not it's just me.
I will try to post the lyrics to George's message if I get a chance to
watch my tape and write it down verbatim.

The tune was to the theme song of the TV series "Greatest American
Hero"
That's not the name of the song.

I totally forgot that Jason Alexander is a broadway singer/actor.
That makes it even funnier the way he sang the song on the machine!
He probably could have sung it better than Joey Scarbury!
Note! All the exclamation points! I am excited! This is funny
stuff!

His answering machine message is from the television show theme
"Greatest American Hero"

It was the theme song from "The Greatest American Hero." an old tv show
"Believe it or not I'm walkin' on air..."
The chorus to that song goes "Believe it or not I'm walking on air, I
never thought I could feel so freee eeee eeee, flying away on a wing a
prayer, who could it be, believe it or not it's just meeeee." You can
find the lyrics to this an many other old TV theme songs (The Dukes of
Hazard and Three's Company for instance) at:

Thought you all might want to know.
