I read that French Stewart, the guy who plays Harry Solomon on 3rd Rock
from the Sun, has appeared on Seinfeld. What role/character did French
Stewart play in which episode(s)?

He was the manager of the movie theatre who gave Elaine the note just
before she bought the "Jujyfruits" in "The Opposite" (the episode where
George is hired by the Yankees).

In the 7/1/96 episode in which Jerry takes care of the drunk's dog, I
thought it was funny that the dog's name was Farfel. I think of Farfel
as a Jewish food...so it just adds to the religious undercurrents of
the show. Did anybody else wonder about this? --Susan

In the 7/1/96 episode in which Jerry unwillingly takes care of the
drunk's dog for him, I can ASSURE you that that was not a real dog's
bark! Pretty good imitation, though. Did anybody else notice this?

He played a movie usher in the episode where the gang tries to see a movie
together, only to have their plans get hopelessly confused and tangled.

Sure I notcied, but does it really matter whethe rit was a rela dog.
If you think about it it makes more sense to have a person do it rather
that drag a real dog onstage to do the barking.

I thought the Farfel reference was to that dog used to market Nestle's
Quik chocolate milk powder and chocolate bars in the '70s.

George comes to the realization that he should try to do the opposite of
everything, so he does, his luck changes and everything begins to go his
way including getting a girlfriend, a job with the Yankees and moving out
of his parents house. Things begin to be unlucky for Elaine after she buys
a box of "Jujyfruits." Kramer appears on Regis & Kathie Lee to promote his
coffee table book. Rachel wants to break up with Jerry and he readily
agrees, because his luck has been "even Steven." Elaine's eating of
"Jujyfruits" causes Pendant Publishing to go under, and later she realizes
that she and George have traded places.

He played the Movie Theatre Manager. He walks over to Elaine and gives
her the message that she got a call about her dates accident. Instead of
rushing right out of the movies to his side, she first stops to buy the
Jujyfruits at the concession stand.

I saw this episode a few days ago (in French!), and I noticed that too!
But then again, that wasn't really Jerry's voice I heard on the show
either, but a very good (French) imitation, so I guess I wouldn't be the
best one to notice that Farfel imitation, would I? :-)

He was the guy who demanded that George show him the ticket stubs?

Sorry, I was wrong, the other posters on this thread are right. I knew I
remembered him as an usher, and I plugged him incorrectly into the wrong

Farfel was the dog that did the Nestle's Chocolate
commercial many years ago.
