> And got the Yankee's job thru ??
Girl:
"I'm Victoria, hi".
*That* Amanda?
What an incredible smile she gave him! It could compete with Elaine in full
flirt mode.
The character of "Victoria" in Seinfeld's "The Opposite" was portrayed by
Dedee Pfeiffer.
The character of "Virginia" in Season 7 of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" who
portrayed "Amanda" in the Seinfeld reunion was portrayed by Elisabeth Shue.
Yup, you guys are right. I was expecting too much by having one of the
NBC supporting characters carried thru to Curb. But it could have
worked if Amanda was instead named Victoria.

I'm not sure what you're getting at, but quite a few actors have been in
both shows. Besides the main Seinfeld cast and some Seinfeld characters in
the Seinfeld reunion on Curb (George's mother, Newman, and Banya), these
include (and there are more)
Philip Baker Hall (Bookman the Library Cop on Seinfeld, Dr. Morrison on
Curb)
Vicki Lewis (Ada, George's secretary on Seinfeld, Stacy, Larry David's
Seinfeld reunion production assistant on Curb)
Christine Taylor (Ellen, Jerry's loser girlfriend on Seinfeld, herself as
Ben Stiller's girlfriend on Curb)
Kathy Griffin (Sally Weaver on Seinfeld, herself on Curb)
Brenda Strong (Sue Ellen Mischke on Seinfeld, podiatrist on Curb)
No doubt actors have gotten roles on both Seinfeld and Curb. But you'd
think that a "character" like George's wife in the Curb version of
Seinfeld would have a back story in the original. Thats why "Victoria"
would make sense as Mrs. Constanza on Curb. Victoria is attracted to a
"unemployed Queens resident" and even gets him a job.
So basically now Jerry and Larry owe us a final NBC reunion show to at
least explain how George and Amanda met.

OK, understand, you're asking about characters who were on Seinfeld then
were on the Curb Seinfeld reunion. Again the main four plus George's
mother, Banya, and Newman. Why would one expect a link of Amanda to the
Seinfeld show? George was engaged to Susan and she died. He was then
unattached through the series finale in 1998. Curb's Seinfeld reunion
season was in 2009, 11 years later, about 1/7 of a lifetime. Alot can
happen in 11 years, including meeting someone, marrying them, divorcing
them, and then trying to remarry them, all after May 1998. I have no
expectation that Amanda would have a tie to Seinfeld. Apparently George had
not yet met Amanda when the Seinfeld series ended in 1998. No explanation
is needed nor owed.
Also, the entire 7th season of Curb shows that the role of Amanda is to be
casted and auditioned. In your scenario, it would have been pre-determined.
Larry David wanted his ex-wife to portray Amanda in order to have her see
him at work to promote a reconciliation, and it worked. At the 11th hour,
his ex-wife quits and they cast Virginia (Elisabeth Shue) to portray Amanda.
Thus, the actress who portrays Amanda cannot have ties to the original
Seinfeld series.
