“Seinfeld” actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who played Elaine on the show, made
it clear that if there is a reboot or reunion in the works, she doesn’t know
about it yet.

The 62-year-old said as much in a recent interview with The Guardian when
asked about Jerry Seinfeld hinting that the old crew was getting back
together soon.

“Yeah, I just saw [that news] last night,” Louis-Dreyfus told the outlet just
days after Seinfeld mentioned that he would revisit the show’s ending. “And I
don’t know what the hell he’s talking about.”

Seinfeld made headlines after telling fans at a Boston stand-up performance
that he was working on something that fans of the iconic 90s sitcom would
enjoy. The comedian was responding to a fan who asked about the ending of the
series, which has remained controversial since it first aired in 1998.

“Well, I have a little secret for you about the ending. But I can’t really
tell it, because it is a secret. Here’s what I’ll tell you. OK? But you can’t
tell anybody. Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending.
Hasn’t happened yet. And just what you are thinking about, Larry and I have
also been thinking about it. So, you’ll see.”Seinfeld replied.

The show ran for nine seasons, but many fans hated the way it ended.
Ultimately, the four main characters wound up going to jail after violating
The Good Samaritan Law. The last episode was set in a courtroom and featured
many people from past seasons testifying against Jerry, Elaine, Kramer, and
George, explaining that they were truly horrible people.

Seinfeld defended the finale in a 2014 Reddit interview. “I was happy with
the Seinfeld finale because we didn’t want to do another episode as much as
we wanted to have everybody come back to the show we had so much fun with,”
he said at the time.

“It was a way to thank all of the people who worked on the show over the
years that we thought made the show work. I don’t believe in trying to change
the past but I’m very happy with it.”
