For a project, I'm compiling a list of products that benefited the
most from placement in Seinfeld. Here's the Top 5 in my judgement so
far:

1 - Saab
2 - Nike
3 - Snapple
4 - Drake's Coffee Cake
5 - Junior Mints

Are there any other important ones? Do you think Monk's Coffee Shop,
for example, should be there?

Check my home page for other products. I made a game of it.

The reference was never explicit; but he was wearing the sneakers all the time.

I heard that Kenny Rogers Roasters saw a bump in business after their
appearance on the show. Also the real "Soup Nazi" in New York went
from being a local celebrity (very very local) to a national one.

Interesting thought. Product placement for a discontinued, but popular
product?

I once was, back in '85.

Rolled Gold Pretzels?
I never understood why Jason Alexander was doing the commercials until
I saw George eating them in Jerry's apartment.

TV Guide! Jerry Stiller (Frank Costanza) even did a commercial for them.

How about the New York Yankees? (Although they didn't present Steinbrenner in a
very flattering light.) Or the New York Mets? ("Meet the Mets...")

PBS. ("I'm Jerry Seinfeld, and I tell jokes for a living. But there's nothing
funny about the financial crisis here at PBS... And if Danny Tartabull were
here, I'm sure he'd say, That's right, Jerry.")

Movie phone. ("Why don't you just TELL me the name of the movie you'd like to
see?")

Volvo and LeBaron ("Just drivin' around in Jon Voigt's car...").

Woody Woodpecker and the Macy's parade.

Duty-free shops ("I like to shop at the duty-free shop")

Cadillac.

Schindler's List ("Oh you've gotta see it Jerry!").

Penthouse forum (a letter about the dentist's) and Playboy (in George's desk
drawer.)

The Latvian Orthodox church ("Well, I really like the hats.")

The "Naked Channel".

Oh Henry. ("It's got chocolate, peanuts, caramel, nougat. It's delicious.
Scrumptious. Outstanding!")

Various medical operations: boobjob ("They're real, and they're spectacular!"),
facelift ("I can't cry!"), proctology ("So YOU'RE the assman!").

Schnitzer's, and their marble rye.

Lycraspandex (that's what bras are made of, apparently).

Ju-jee fruits (sp?).

Armani.

Mendy's. ("The best soup, Jerry, the best!")

"Les Miserables". ("Master of the house...")

United Airlines ("I've always loved U... nited Airlines")

Price Club ("I bought too much food, Jerry!")

That successful placement must have brought a massive pick up
to the proctology business!!
