"Two guys walk into a bar which is really stupid 'cause you figure if the
first guy walked right into it, the second one would've seen it" Howie Mandel
Lloyd Braun was an old childhood friend of George's family who became
then-NYC mayor David Dinkins' assistant/advisor. He appeared in the
episode "The Non-Fat Yogurt". He lost his job when Dinkins lost to
Guiliani. He later popped up in a episode last year where Kramer tried to
restore an old movie house (episode name escapes me).
Does that answer your question?
A fellow Torontonian,
CAL
>Which Seinfeld character had the name Lloyd Braun? Who is this guy?
He grew up in George's neighborhood, and was an advisor to Mayor Dinkins
during the campaign. George loathed him of course, because everyone made
such a big deal about him being "a big advisor to Dinkins." Elaine went
out with him a couple times, and told him about her idea that everyone in
the city should wear name tags so people would be more friendly. Lloyd
proposed this idea to Dinkins, which got him fired from the campaign.
Shortly thereafter he ended up in a mental institution. He showed up in a
later episode when Kramer was managing the movie theater. He had a friend
who could get that great Chinese gum!! (lo-meiny!)

Lloyd Braun (sp?) was a neighbor of George's when they were both young.
He worked for Mayor Dinkens and had a chance meeting with George
(George's arm started "acting up" in this episode). Lloyd got Elaine's #
and she suggested everyone in NY should wear nametags - everyone thought
this was a stupid idea. This was also the Frozen Yogurt and the F***
episode.
Lloyd had a breakdown and returned later played by another actor. When
Elaine lost a button in the theatre, he thought that she was coming on
to
her (this was The Majestic - the theatre that Kramer helped re-open).

Yes, two different actors played Lloyd. In his first appearance he was
played by Peter Keleghan, and the second time by Matt McCoy. About Police
Academy, I don't know!
