Can someone please help me? I am desperate to know the name of the actress
who played Jerry's girlfriend and the supposed telephone-sex operator who
couldn't spare a square of toilet paper for Elaine. Where have I seen her
before? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!!

Her name is Jami Gertz; to me, she is best known as the vampire "Star" in
the movie "The Lost Boys." I'm sure she's been in other stuff, but I
know not what.

Check her out in "Less Than Zero," with Robert Downey Jr, Andrew
McCarthy, and James Spader.

I believe her name is Jamie Gertz (although I am not completely positive)
and I remember her from the movie "The Lost Boys". I am sure she has been
in a bunch of other stuff too though.

Actually, it's Jami. She's from Glenview, IL (suburb of Chicago). Her first
break was as the stuck up character in "Square Pegs" (also starred Sarah
Jessica Parker). Other credits include "Less than Zero".

Last I heard she recently had a kid. (probably more information than you need
to know.)

But is she Jewish?

Quite. We both used to belong to the same synagogue youth group in Morton
Grove, IL. (Northwest Suburban - Rabbi Charney at the time).

I remember her best (and she'd probably be REALLY disappointed to hear
this) from a early 80's show called "Square Pegs" that starred a young and
gangly Sarah Jessica Parker, plus Tracy Nelson and Merritt Butrick. She
was great. ("People!")

By the way, I thought her name on "Square Pegs" was Bootsy. I don't
remember her on "The Facts of Life" but then I wasn't really a fan
(although I do remember that George Clooney was on it). The things I do
remember, it's scary. And sometimes I forget my own phone number. Truly
scary.
My $.02,
Jean
