that was a great one....jerry had his new suede jacket with the pink
lining...and elaine's father was scary.....=)
that was a classic....."pipe down chorus boy!"
elaines father to george who was singing all the time

I believe that was Mr Peterman, not Elaine's father. George was left alone
listening to all his trademark boring long stories. So her family is still
a mystery.

Listen Buster, you're wrong.
On "The Jacket" (8) Jerry and George ate dinner with Elaine's father.

Elaine's dad is a famous writer and she is indeed late for dinner with
him and Jerry and George and Elaine's dad is not impressed with either
George or Jerry. It's the "suede jacket" episode.
George keeps singing some lines from a song from Les Mis.
Blah blah...All I remember...nowhere near my tape of the show...sorry.
No, D&K are right---Jerry, George, Elaine and
Mr. Benes were supposed to meet for dinner and
Elaine was late and so the guys were left trying
to make small-talk. Mr. Benes is a macho, no
nonsense, military type bear of a man (rather
reminded me of my own father---The Great Santini
himself!!). This was the same episode where
Jerry had just sprung mucho dinero for a suede
jacket. Unfortunately for him, to try and keep
up with Mr. Benes's machoism he was "forced" to
go out in the rain while wearing it, thus
ruining it. Fortunately for Kramer, he ended up
with it!
Buster, you're not hallucinating---that was a
Seinfeld episode too (and I think it was the one
that introduced us to JP), just not the *same* one...
!snip!
