I just bought a TV series on VHS called /Take a Letter, Mr. Jones/, a
British sitcom from 1981 about a male secretary and his female boss.
The title character is played by John Inman of /Are You Being Served?/
fame.

I wondered if this might have been the inspiration for the Guy Friday
sketch on /SCTV/.
