I believe it was the Name Game.

Hi, Zak here. It's been a while since I wrote that trivia post, so
here are the answers in case you missed 'em.

Anthony Greco <agr...@consumersgas.com> wrote:

>1. "all rightee, whoa hoa hoa" (not sure of the spelling)

Yep -- spelling is fine

>2. danny thomas, the show eludes me, i think it was "something for

> daddy" or "daddy knows best"

Yes. I think it was Make Room for Daddy. That was before my time.

>3. i have no clue

Vinyl seat covers. (The prize on Half Wits)

>4. woody allen (strictly a guess)

Nice guess -- Woody does play roles like that. But the directors I had
in mind were Federico Fellini and Vittorio De Sica. Kind of an obscure
question, since it requires you to know about foreign films and not
just SCTV.

>5. he won't sing with him. i can't recall the song.

Howard Howard Bo Boward, Banana Fana Fo Foward, Me Mi Mo Moward --
Howard! Chuck Chuck Bo Buck, Banana Fana Fo ---SMACK!

>6. all were subjects of new sitcom ads in the very early shows.

True, although I don't think those were the early, early shows. The
production values are too high.

>7. ------ munroe

You're quite good at this. (Tom is the first name)

>8. she doesn't remember it because there were too many guys back then.

You are a true SCTV-aholic.

>9. curling

Sweeeeep! Sweeeeep!

>10. cruisin' gourmet

You dead? Huh? You dead? Huh? You dead? ...........The bird is dead.

>11. john houseman, played by robin williams

(the crowd roars)

>12. cabbage leaf on the back of the neck

Right-O

>13. the joke goes something like this:

> "what did one peach (strawberry? raspberry?) say to the other one?

> "it's a fine jam you got us in."

"If you weren't so fresh last night, we wouldn't be in this jam."

You guys aren't going to blow me up are you? Because my mom distinctly
said there would be no blowing up of Brooke.

>14. david steinberg, played by martin short

Booga booga.

>15. budgee

That's right Edna.

>16. my bloody hand

Excellent score there, mister!

No. 6--they were all take offs of the Patty Duke show. The
promos featured the theme song "Meet Kathy who's lived most everywhere,
from Zanzibar to Barkley Square...
but they're COUSINS,
identical COUSINS...."
but instead it would be
"but they're cheese hostesses,
identical cheese hostesses"

Anthony- In your answer, you didn't have "Mr. Munro's" first name.
It was Tom. The "album" from which those songs were from was called
"On a New Wavelength." (Get it? "New Wave"?) Great questions,
though. Thanks and take care.... -Randy (another junkie....)

Cruisin' Gourmet. Notice here how they fade to CCCP 1 as it gets
explicit. They are witty while avoiding too much blue.
