It's in Real Media format so you'll have to have Real Player to view it but

Real Media? Give us a break. What a piece of shit. Try
MPEG or another, better format.

The Real Media format is quite poor and it was very choppy. It would be
great if you could convert it to something like mpeg or avi or Quicktime. It
doesn't need to stream. This way you could download it and then watch it
clearly and I'm assuming there's some good editing between the video clips
and music. But that aside I liked it and I really liked the song: funky with
cool guitars. I'm a musician and I'm suprised I never heard it before.

Sorry, that was over-the-top. I just cannot stand Real Media.
Their response to Microsoft's WMP was to make Real Player
incredibly intrusive and hard to get rid of.

Believe me, Real Media wasn't my first choice, but the server which hosts
streaming media for our site will only support Real Media files. (which to me
is...well...a load of...)
go to www.twinvirgos.com/images/SCTV.mpg
a much bigger file but better quality. =)
We're with you! We still laugh at the clips! Hehehe...thank you!
I don't know if you're on a high speed connection but if you go to
http://www.twinvirgos.com/images/SCTV.mpg
the quality is much better...but it's a bigger file
Roger released this is in 1977 b/w "I Wanna Testify" and he was still with
Queen at the time. He had some singles pressed with this song and used his own
money to do it, so there are very few copies about.
Try this link
http://www.twinvirgos.com/images/SCTV.mpg
hopefully the quality is better...=)

Much better! I downloaded the mpg and it ran very smoothly. Great job. The
edits are really well done. You don't happen to have mp3's of anymore Roger
Taylor stuff do you? I'm a big Queen fan and that song totally reminds me of
the "Jazz" album. I haven't been able to find a site on the web where I can
purchase a CD with that song. I don't like to use the illegal software.
Nice job, very cool.
You have a few rare clips there, like the old intro where Candy throws the
tv out the window (haven't seen that in years) and Truth or Consequences.
Where did you get those?
Thank you so much for your kind words!!! =)
To answer your question in regards to how we obtained the the "classic SCTV
footage", it is a somewhat long story, but will give you the cliff notes
version, so as that I don't bore you to death. ;)
Back in 1999 I had inquired on this news group, alt.SCTV, and other Usenet
groups if there was anyway to obtain copies of any SCTV episodes since I
didn't have any.
I recieved an e-mail from a gentleman whom at the time lived in California
(don't know if he still does) who stated that he had ALL SCTV episodes and
would ship me all his tapes. (I can't remember his reasoning for giving me his
"orginal taped episodes") and all he asked was that I pay for shipping.
So every month I recieved a box via USPS that contained around 6-12 VHS , with
over 6 to a 8 hours worh of episode per tape! By nearly a year I had recieved
his whole collection of every episode that he had taped of SCTV!
Now mind you, I didn't know HOW RARE these episodes were because I wasn't as
informed about it's history or it's rarity.
So between the years 2000 to 2003 with moving to all these different cities and
counties (We define the word "gypsie"!) ;) Some of our SCTV tapes were
misplaced or just left behind.
So now we have what is left of our collection and now having gone back to
transfer them to DVD, we relize that we don't have as many episodes as we used
to, but AM VERY THANKFUL to have what we have today. =)
Now THAT IS TRULY the cliff notes version!! ;) Hope you manged to finish
reading my story to this point!
Have a wonderful day!! And take care!! =)
Crystal
You bet your bottom dollar I do! I've got every single solo song (in MP3
format) he's done without Queen. Email me...I'll hook you up very
nice....*wink*

Unfortunatley it's never been pressed on to CD only on to EP. The version I had
had a lot of pops and hisses (basically like listening to a real EP) but I
cleaned it up using Sound Forge. =)

Don't blame you.=)
