Does anyone have a list of the Oriental characters which Dave Thomas played?

I have seen the following:

TIM ISHIMUNI
Tim engages in a "video war" with Gerry Todd
Tim hosts his own show, interviewing Grogan (John Candy in Godzilla outfit)

LIN YEE TANG
Hosts "Doorway to Hell", keeps telling the plot of next week's show
Stars in remake of "On the Waterfront", appears on the Sammy Maudlin Show
Tells a story about "the princess", which keeps becoming more sadistic:x

Lin Yee Tang also owns the Tang Gardens where "Dinning With LaRue" was
filmed once. They got so drunk on Saki that LaRue passout in a plate full
of bean sprouts.
Lin Yee was also in many other skits.

He also seduces that tough barmaid behind his "doorway to hell" in the
SCTV Christmas special! She was played by Catherine O'Hara, but I don't
remember her being in any other skits.

Yeah! That's right after they share a giant joint which Lin produces with a
wry comment (that I don't remember at the moment, "careful, that's powerful
stuff" or something...)! -This is an example of the type of things that I'm
suprized were'nt edited out for syndication. Other suprizing leave-ins
involve several off-color and/or homosexual jokes from the very early episodes
(i.e.: that "Canadian Playhouse" skit) that I caught when SCTV was being run
on Nickelodeon...

Does anyone know how much material made it into the syndicated episodes and
what was left out or cut?

Lin Ye tang and Tim were my only Oriental characters. I struggles with
various looks for Lin, trying to find the best way to may a Celtic
Scottish face look Chinese but NEVER pulled it off to my satisfaction.

I discuss this under Flaherty's heading "The Many faces of Lin Ye Tang"
in my SCTV:Behind the Scenes book coming out in November.

So there's really going to be an SCTV book at last? That's great. I will
be lined up at the bookstore with dollars in my hand the day it goes on
sale. I may even camp out at the mall the night before. ;-)

I've never posted here before, but I am so glad there is even a newsgroup
about SCTV. It has always bothered me that with all the other books out
about various TV series, there has never been one for SCTV. I hope it will
contain a comprehensive listing of each episode in its original form (I
don't ask for much, do I?) I also hope to see some media reviews of the
book from my favorite curmudgeon, Bill Needle.

Long live SCTV!
