Several RF episodes have an actor named "Pepper Martin", but I can't
find a picture on IMDB and I can't figure out who this is. I know there
was a
Cardinals slugger in the earlier part of the 20th centery by the same
name, doubtfully the
same person.

Can anyone help me picture who PM is?

Thanks,

Wasn't he the goon / bodyguard who accompanied Harold Jack Coombs almost
everywhere? He sneezes on Coombs at one point and Coombs berates him about
germs. In the scene in the warehouse with the prop Egyptian artifacts, he's
with Coombs watching the conversation in which Angel plays the fake expert.

I always thought they should cast Pepper Martin in an episode with Salt
Walther.

In "Superman 2" when Superman loses his powers he goes to a diner with Lois.
There, he's picked on by a tough looking truck driver who beats the crap out
of him. Later, after Clark has regained his powers, he returns to the diner
and returns the favor to the driver--- that driver was Pepper Martin.
Another movie "tough guy."

I just finished viewing "Foul on the First Play" tonight, and Pepper Martin
plays the asthmatics sidekick. His role as Gustav, the massage therapist in
"The Competitive Edge" may help you even more. (I believe he was the
massage therapist anyway).

I know it's tough when an actor's name appears in the credits in quite a
number of episodes, and yet you can't picture them. As important as they
are to a certain scene, the fact that their presence is so brief, certainly
doesn't help the situation any. Heck, I didn't know Joe E. Tata's name from
Geronimo's until RNeill pointed out the various roles he played in Rockford.

Ah, tv character actor from the '60's, '70's, and early '80's. He's also
turned up occassionally on shows in the '90's.

He's still alive, according to IMDb.

I'd say he looks just like his name.

I have to say, it took me years to figure out who one character actor on
"Rockford" was: Scott Brady. Thought he was a little guy.

Allow me to add Ted Gehring to that list with Scott Brady and Joe E. Tata.
Surprisingly enough, all three appeared in "Gearjammers".

Ted Gehring appeared in the pilot, as the investigating officer to the plane
crash at the end of the movie. Also, he played Walter Chalco in "The Battle
of Canoga Park" and Johnny LoSalvo in "Gearjammers".
