Arthur Hiller died

Arthur Hiller was the director of The Americanization of Emily, filmed
of the Paddy Chayefsky script, starring James Garner and Julie Andrews.

Garner always said that Chayefsky's political sentiments made it the
favorite of all his pictures. Julie Andrews, who made this after Mary
Poppins and before The Sound of Music, said it kept her from being typecast
in family movies.

Arthur Hiller also directed another James Garner movie back in '63, "The Wheeler Dealer's". Pretty good flick with an all-star cast, too. It's been a long time since I played that one!
