The current version (3 Sep 2009) of http://www.newmysteries.org/ lists the
Angie Award winners of this year's shortened International Mystery Writers'
Festival. IMWF 2009 was originally planned to be skipped due to the closure
of the Executive Inn and planned construction around Owensboro. However, in
early 2009, they announced a far simpler IMWF would go forward for 2009: no
traditional stage plays and only four live radio plays. But all 4 were based
on classic Agatha Christie radio plays originally premiered on BBC radio in
1937, 1947, 1948, and 1954. Except for light editing, I certainly didn't
expect new material.

However, among this year's Angie Awards is one for Rupert Holmes for Best Song
("You're the Thorn in My Side"). From the description of the plays, I can only
surmise it was one of the songs used for the cabaret performers in "Yellow
Iris."

However, the promotional material for the Festival did not mention there
would be new songs, much less who might be writing them. Darn; should have
streamed the live broadcast on the 15th.

The plays may go on tour or on Broadway in the future. See
