I don't think that will work, will it? I believe you're in the western U.S. by
the timestamp I see below. The UK uses a different format... PAL or
something, while the US uses SMPTE. In other words, stuff taped in UK won't
play on a VCR which uses the US format. You need a converter. Anyone else can
back that up? FYI, you can order US versions from the following addie:
http://206.30.75.91/mv/owa/vid_search?v_id=110390. (Hope that works!) There's
also some addie that lists public TV stations in the US who will be airing
series VIII... email me if you're interested and I'll try to find it!

US VCR's use a standard called NTSC. In England we have PAL. These two
standards are not interchangeable. Unless your VCR manual states that your
PAL VCR will play NTSC tapes or that your NTSC VCR will play PAL cassettes
you will not be able to watch tapes recorded in the other standard.
The next thing to realise is that even if your VCR will play the tapes it
may output the signal in a form that your TV cannot display. eg. your PAL
TV (in England) might not be able to display an NTSC signal. In England the
safest bet to play NTSC tapes is to buy a VRC that will play NTSC tapes on a
PAL TV. These arn't too expensive either and they will still play all of
your PAL tapes.

Many new TVs and Videos understand all the major formats (NTSC, PAL and
SECAM) but like was said, you'd need to look in the manual to find out. If
it can't youll only get sound.

Ok, so is anyone gonna help me out and tape it?

Yes, but there are services over here in the US where you can get the
tapes converted...

Castles, Castles in the air
Take a paper plane through the rain and you'll be floating free
Through those castles growing everywhere
Won't you let your mind just unwind; Go upstream toward a dream
You can ride on a laugh you can glide on; Behind every cloud is a star
To light your way
