This we can probably attribute to the unexpected behaviour of the
cytoplasms.
I went to the preview screening of RD VII last Saturday.I can say that
what I watched ( 3 episodes ) was very good and very funny.
And it was a pleasant surprise to have the cast there doing a bit of
talking in between the episodes.

Have you ever seen The Brittas Empire?
Anyway, did anyone else see a clip with CB in on Telly Addicts (can't

I only watched it once accidently, now) were he played Neil Kinnock?

It was funny then was it. Good. How funny ? Could you perhaps compare
it with the other series' ( i.e. was it as funny as series one or
series 4 ?). Also, is it more dialouge driven then series 6 ?

As opposed to saying "Bite of lemon in the pub"
Oh well I can see you've been dying for me to tell this story... :)
After finishing her drink, the girl seldomly known as Ms Sage was agahst
to kind this strange bloke come round and steal her slice of lemon
containing glass. Not knowing that this is fairly normal behavior in such
establishments (it was her first time), she yelled out something like
"Under hand my drinking vessel, man of questionable parenthood, for sooth
it suits my tastes to have that lemon before me."
No I cannot tell a lie it was more like "Oy! I haven't finished with that
lemon."
With that the poor man kindly appologised and handed back the glass
carrying lemon. Lemon was promptly consumed before any other lemon thieve
pounced upon it, much to Sav's amusement.
This activity was missed by Raz, who was tucking into his chip adorned
vinegar, and C who was merrily chatting away to fellow fan club
organisers.
The less said about the quacking the better. :)

an audiance warm-up piece.

Here's an out there kinda guess. In Smeg Outs there is the Poker playing
scene. Is it possible that the Poker Playing scene was shown to the
audience before the credits and was never meant to be included? This
was a least a special effects oriented shot that would have cost SOME
money but was never used in the original broadcast. If so this could
be similar to whatever you saw.

Variety? There is no REAL reason not to have one STICK OUT episode
to get extra attention. Also if it did something IMPORTANT - introdunced
a new character or got rid of a character this could be used to emphasize
it's importance.

Did the version you see look kinda tacky like the Poker scene?

Well if we're talking about the first bit, there was a shall we say
rather large prop stand-in thingy (hows that for vauge?) that there is
no way they can improve without some really expensive computer
graphics (I think we're talking Chris' salary for two series sort of
money) :). Otherwise, there was a naff scene that could easily be
improved and I'm sure adding sound would take care of the rest.
There was one scene in the last episode that just didn't work at all
without sound, and I can't wait to see it for real.
