Yep. And the male Holly's back too. Yippee!!! Does anyone know how they
get back to the ship, or why it had gone?

THIS IS A SPOILER

THIS IS A SPOILER

THIS IS A SPOILER

I have seen 3 episodes of red dwarf 7 the episodes i saw were

duct soup

beyond a joke (my favourite)

and

nanarchy (the last episode)

I was luck enough to see these at the preview showings where they recorded
the laughter

* they indeed find red dwarf in the last episode
*they find r.d in listers clothes basket (dont ask)
*lister loses his arm in the episode previous to nanarchy but gets it back
thanks to nanites that belonged to kryten.
*the 3 episodes that i have mentioned DO NOT feature rimmer
*Norman lovet does return in the last episode but only has about 3 lines
*the last scene in the last episode see's the cat piloting starbug towards
red dwarf
* duct soup is a great episode and has a great scene where kochanski tells
lister that his alter ego was gay

I have more but i'll only print them if the demand is high.

neither is he in Ouroborus, and it doesn't look like he is in Epideme
(If he is then he doesn't play a major part). So that's 5 episodes he
doesn't appear to be in.

Of the others he's (presumably) in the first one (back from the dead?)
and he's in (Somewhat obviously) Natural born Rimmers.

That leaves 'Heartache' and whether he's in it or not, that means he's
only in at most 3 episodes. Could it be that the controversial
information that *was* in the primer was incorrect?

Anyone who has seen Heartache or Epideme care to comment?

Yeah..you'd have to put don't ask after that one. My first instinct
was to post the brilliant reply "Wha??"

> *lister loses his arm in the episode previous to nanarchy but gets it
> back thanks to nanites that belonged to kryten.

YES!! I knew Lister lost his arm and I had long guessed about
possible nanite stories. In fact I mentioned this round about
the first time I saw season 4 and wrote a silly short story
called "Nancy the Nanite: A Silicion Love Affair" but quickly
dropped the idea as I could not build an entire script around
the idea.

> *the 3 episodes that i have mentioned DO NOT feature rimmer

Oh. I had wondered which other two episodes, other than the
first two, featured him. So it looks my best guess is:

1 - Tikka to Ride, 2 - Natural Born Rimmers, 4 - Duct Soup,
5 - Heartache

I guess he could not be on either Duct Soup or Heartache and appear in
Epideme but I thought the episode appearances were back to back.

DAMN!

I can picture this:

"HEY HOLLY!! It's you!!"
"Yeah."
"But your a bloke again???"
"Well.."
"GREAT TO SEE YOU!"
"Yeah..."

Oi? The bastards didn't rob the ship from themselves did they, eh?

REALLY!?!? WOW! Well..hmmmmm....that would explain why she didn't
stick around with the ultra-suave Lister from her dimension.
Oh..and there is a lot of water in this episode I hear.

Nanites are microscopic machines that are usually used to repair
damage done to the host organism they inhabit. Sometimes they
are biological machines.
I was going to give you the definition from my Dictionary..but
my stupid dictionary doesn't have the word!

For nanies in TV and movies I can think of two good sources --
An episode of The Next Generation where Wesley makes nanites go
nuts and form a seemingly hostile civilization.
Virtousity -- where a computer simulation uses nanites to get
and maintain a kick ass body.

Nanites are Red Dwarf's way of getting Star trek back for all those
nicked ideas... not to mention possibly the worst plot device to be
used in RD ever.

Another cool nanite story was an Outer Limits ep. Some guy injects nanites
into himself out of deparation, and the nanites go crazy. They fix the guy
up, but then they put eyes in a back of his head because they think that
since he can't see behind him, there is something wrong with him. He also
gets gills, double ribcage, & poison skin. The Nanites attempt to keep the
host organism alive, so when the guy tries to kill himself by stabing
himself in the stomach, and nanites slowly push the knie out, repair the
damage, and revive the guy (he wasn't completely dead, the nanites kept him
in coma state I guess)

Weird huh?

nanites & nanobots are interchangable terms, IIRC
and in this case they are lit'l robots inside the body which repair damage.

Yeah I've seen that one a few times. You forgot to mention when
the nanites give him a new pair of eyes..that scene was kind cheap
but kinda freaky. The new Outer Limits is really good. A lot better
than I originally thought after seeing the first episode i saw, which
was by far the worst.
Course the original series episode "Zanti Misfits" is a MUST SEE!

I enjoyed this film, especially as Russell Crowe (who is Australian) got
a to play another psychotic villain (he was a neo-nazi in Romper
Stomper).

As for nano-bots, the DW Missing Adventure "The Sorcerer's Apprentice"
is set on a world where the previous civilastion had filled the
atmosphere with nanites which could be controlled by thought,
effectively making magic and magical creatures (like dragons and so on)
possible.

Good explanation, I thought. :)

Oh - and has someone told Gavin off yet for starting this thread and
giving away plot details against Doug's wishes? They have? Just as well,
I wouldn't feel right contributing to it otherwise... :)
