Here it comes...

Prepare to be shocked...

It's not even a month since our exclusive interview with Danny
John-Jules revealed that filming on the Red Dwarf movie would commence
early in 2004 and already this long delayed project has had to put
back its start day to May of 2004.

The official word from Grant Naylor Productions is that: "Red Dwarf -
The Movie may be shot in Australia. Preliminary design work is
currently underway and shooting is slated for May 2004. Crewing up has
not yet begun."

So that's the official word then? And there will be no more delays?
Watch this space for future developments...

Groan.

sadly I'm no longer capable of being shocked by delays to the movie.... I
may die of shock if it ever actually starts production though, but since
I'll probably be in my 90's by then I may not notice.
Thanks for the the update though.

point me running a complete Red Dwarf news service if nobody
reads it ;-)

But... consulting the facts when bellyaching -- it feels so wrong.

I really was certain that it would shoot in September/October
this year; I *am* disappointed it's been put back. I wouldn't
say May 2004 was *definite*, either, due to the constant delays...

However, I have written an article about the delays to the movie:
