YTV feedback on contest received

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to write to us. It is always nice to hear
from our viewers and your comments are important to us.
We are happy to hear that you enjoy watching 'Shadow Raiders' on YTV.
This series currently airs Wednesday at 7:30pm E/P and 11pm E/P.
We were sorry to learn that our Feed Your Brain Contest was upsetting for
you. Please accept our apologies for any disappointment our contest may
have inadvertently caused you. Be assured that our intent with this
contest was not to cause our viewers any undue distress, but rather to
provide an opportunity for our viewers to win Microsoft Software
products. The call-in portion of this contest ran from September 14 to
September 26, Monday to Friday between 4pm to 9pm EST and Saturdays
between 8:30am to 1:30pm EST. Viewers were given a chance to win during
every program that aired between these hours.
Please keep in mind that YTV is primarily a children's network. Although
we continually strive to keep all of our viewers happy, it is a difficult
task. What some viewers find entertaining, others may not and we
therefore make every effort to provide a varied schedule which will appeal
to many different interests and tastes.
Also, we feel it is important to note that only the 7:30pm E/P episode of
'Shadow Raiders' was affected by this contest. The second broadcast at
11pm E/P on Wednesday, September 16 and September 23 aired without the
coded word at the bottom of the screen. As well, there was a creative
change after September 16 when the coded word was altered to take up a
smaller portion of the screen.
With this said, be assured that a copy of your comments has been sent to
our Sales Promotions Department for future consideration. It is through
such feedback that we are able to provide quality programming for Canadian
youth and their families.
