about glorifying unnecessary layers of government, but that was all
part of the formula.
This guy lived in a beautiful suburban home, drove a brand new Mercedes
sedan, and ruled over Quincy's domain (and official inquests) like the
Almighty himself, and yet he was only a deputy assistant.
I always got a kick out of that, but it plants seeds into minds that
don't realize they're being programmed, and look at government today.
I still like the show. It was very well produced, and there's something
about Klugman's hard-working style I always admired. He EARNS his
presence, and it's that quality which brought "Quincy" to life.
However different, it doesn't change what I said. I mean, if he was the
chief assitant to an LA coroner, how many more assistants could there
have been?
