Led by "DAYS OF OUR LIVES" best week since February 1999 and "PASSIONS"
best week ever, NBC's daytime schedule won the week of July 10 with a
2.7 rating and 17 share in women 18-49.

This marks the first time that NBC has led the daytime ratings race
during a week with its full schedule on the air and without preemptions
for breaking news or sports events (e.g. Olympics), at least since
Nielsen Media Research began measuring viewership with its People Meter
technology in September 1987.

NBC also won the week in women 18-34 with a 3.9/23 (70 percent ahead of
second place CBS) and female teens 12-17 with a 3.8/17 (topped CBS and
ABC's combined averages by 27 percent).

Compared to the same week last year, NBC's daytime slate was up 42
percent in women 18-49, 56 percent in women 18-34, 46 percent in female
teens 12-17 and 17 percent in total viewers (averaged 4.4 million
persons last week).

DAYS OF OUR LIVES was the week's No. 1 daytime program in women 18-49
(3.4/22, up 17 percent compared to the same week last year) and
delivered its largest audience in this demo since the week of February
22, 1999. In addition, DAYS topped the women 18-34 standings (5.0/28 --
has not posted a higher rating since the week of September 14, 1998) for
the 257th time in 258 weeks.

PASSIONS finished its 54th week on NBC with its best-ever weekly
averages in women 18-49 (2.0/13), women 18-34 (2.9/17), female teens
(4.5/19) and total viewers (3.3 million persons)

Compared to the same week last year (its second week on the air),
PASSIONS was up a dramatic 122 percent in women 18-49, 142 percent in
women 18-34, 137 percent in female teens and 64 percent among total
viewers

In addition, as it continued its "Storm at Sea" storyline, PASSIONS
was up 33 percent in women 18-49, 26 percent in women 18-34, 15 percent
in female teens and 22 percent in total viewers compared to the show's
average during its last full week of broadcasts (June 26-30, 2000)

In women 18-49, last week's Tuesday-Friday broadcasts of
Passionsattracted the four largest audiences for an individual episode
in the program's history.

In female teens, the NBC Studios drama (produced in association with
Outpost Farms Productions, Inc.) was the week's highest- rated daytime
program and out-rated the highest-rated daytime drama on a competing
network by 165 percent.
