I'm pretty sure the outside scenes are done in San Francisco. I've been
there a few times in the last two years and what they show looks
remarkably like the real thing. For instance, a few episodes back,
Kirstin and Charlie were walking through a park and they just happened to
show a few houses in the scenery. I don't really know of any other city
in America where the look of property is so distinctive as in San
Francisco (ie, hills with skinny houses all lined up next to one another).

Party of Five is filmed on the Sony Lot which is located in Culver City,
California........I work right down the street from there and my boyfriend
interns at Sony, we got to see a bit of the taping once.

weird?!?! It was filmed in Canada! I couldnt believe it when i heard that.

Right now they film all over LA but they are based out of the Sony -Tri
Star-Columbia Pictures lot.

No, they'll tape there for a couple days to get a lot of the outdoor
scenes. Also, obviously that's where the show takes place, but most of
it is done in the studio or on the Sony back lot.

Nope, that's where the show is set, but it's actually filmed in Los
Angeles like most of TV. They do about two location shoots a year in the
San Francisco area to get some convincing outdoor shots in real places in
the Bay Area, but that's it.
