Didn't he invent the modern automobile?

I was wondering if there was some cast or crew member with that name..... If
it is really our automobile inventer, Mr. Ford, I'm wondering why they
dedicated it to him? Any ideas?

I thought it was dedicated to Harry Ford, not Henry.

I think it was Harry not Henry. I Googled up a New York Firefighter
named Harry S Ford who died in June while on duty. He was a 27 year
veteran so he something of a fixture in some parts of the city. It's not
inconceivable that Montana or someone connected to the show knew him.

Yes, I posted last night that I thought his name was Harry. The imdb lists
Harry Ford as a grip on Oz, but uncredited. He died in June of 2001 (on
Father's Day) in Queens, of a "firefighting-related death." He was also a grip
in movies such as "Carlito's Way" and "Ghostbusters II." He was married with
two children when he died. I assume this is the same Harry Ford as the person
it was dedicated to. I think that they'll have another dedication in a later
episode of Oz, to the NYC fire and police departments.

Exactly, Harry Ford was one of those firefighters. My immediate reaction was
that it was someone who perished in the Twin Towers, but I'm pretty sure it was
that fireman.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I think you're right about Ford. I just wanted
to add how they knew him.

BTW Henry Ford did NOT invent the automobile. He pioneered the assembly line, but the horseless carriage was around before him

It's so refreshing to see someone actually make an effort to offer a most practical & easily believable explanation. Particularly since it's most likely true.

If you're talking about the Oz dedication to Harry as Ford he was a firefighter that died in the line of duty and he served as a consultant to the show
