i will leave a spoiler space but as i've said before for those who use
Google to read groups, the space is a total waste. But here goes--

Useless.....

Spoiler.......

Space..........

in.......

case.........

"Far from the tormented Billy Douglas and the fiendishly murdering
Daniel Colson, it looks as though OLTL might actually explore a “real”
gay relationship as Fish (Scott Evans) and Kyle (Brett Claywell) re-
explore their gay relationship from college. Half of the couple
(Evans) is actually an openly gay actor and has played Fish as
straight so far. When Layla things something is up between them after
dating Fish, she’s not at all mistaken."

So for those who thought there was a "weird vibe" between them- looks
like you may be right after all. But weird not being the right word-
just a vibe so to speak.

Hmm.. i knew there was a reason i liked Fish so much. He is too cute.
I was very relieved that he wasn't part of the serial killler thing.

Cheers folks. Here's hoping.

If this proves to be true poor GiGi is going to get no where with her plan
today.

Awww.. oopsie.
I've not seen todays yet so i can't comment or speculate. I'm a day
behind. Or wait.. 2 actually.
We got a new Playstation 3 so i've been a gaming fool.. and just
yesterday rented my very first Blu Ray dvds. So- that's where my
evening went. Hoping to catch up tonight though.

Also- cant help but notice there where it says "might actually
explore a “real" gay relationship".
"Might" being a keyword there. They've talked about a gay storyline
for years now. They owe us for the Daniel Colson fiasco still if you
ask me LOL.

I would like to see these two characters stay on and have an interesting
storyline like this. It would help explain Fish's weirdness toward Layla
(though maybe not his other weirdness toward Stacy, unless closeted guys
tend to go wild for pretty girls to prove something??), and would also
explain the tension between Fish & Kyle. But I wouldn't want to see it as
some tortured, guilt-ridden thing whereby one or both of the guys eventually
gets "cured." Just a soap romance--finding each other, being friends,
becoming more than friends... Then, after they get together, let them be in
storylines that have nothing to do with homosexuality.

It's too bad Kyle is a blackmailer who also had no problems with the ethics
of switching the blood for Shane's transplant. Couldn't Fish do better than
a scumbag?

Exactly Suznne! You got it.
And as for Fish and Stacy.. well- the night of the Red Ball, all sorts
of drunken wildness was going on. Sort of reminded me of AMC years
back when David "spiked" the punch at a big event and all sorts of
people slept with all sorts of people.. etc . Coyote love abound! lol

So people woke up next to people they didnt intend to (Fish and
Stacey.. Nora and Bo.., and someone else come to think of it). Would
be lame of him to do.. and secondly.. eww! get off of him ya skank!
But surely wasnt written that far in advance for them to think that
far ahead i think.

But yeah.. i'd like to see it treated like you describe. As a "matter
of fact life story stuff"- like it is for real and not a sterotype
cookie-cutter gay storyline.

Plenty of people have come to town with less than reputable dealings
and turned their character around. It's not so black and white.

Also- it is implied that Fish has a "past" with Kyle. So even though
Kyle has been involved in some shady stuff recently.. i think Fish is
going to have that to overcome along the way, being a cop and an over-
all good guy. Sort of realistic if you ask me. Someone you care for
with a screwed up past that isn't beyond redemption.
could be interesting story if they do it right.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree. Such a story could go one of two ways--either Fish comes out
totally with his renewed relationship with Kyle, and then DUMPS the jerk for
someone nicer that he actually deserves, or he helps Kyle reform into
someone worth caring about. It has happened before and could easily happen
again.

__________

However, Fish's attraction to Stacy wasn't just one night. He chased after
her for several days or weeks after that. So it would have to be explained
differently, like he woke up with her and realized that maybe she was the
one who could make him "not gay," so he pursued her, whereas Layla couldn't
do that for him because he genuinely likes her as a friend, but not as a
potential lover.

>But yeah.. i'd like to see it treated like you describe. As a "matter
of fact life story stuff"- like it is for real and not a sterotype
cookie-cutter gay storyline.

_____________

I'd like to see both a gay couple AND a handicapped person as regular folks
on the show. Seems like if they manage to have a gay character, he's either
evil or has his entire time on the show revolve around his orientation. And
any time a person becomes handicapped, it isn't long before a miracle doctor
saves him or her. It would be so refreshing--not to mention very
realistic--to have a few gay people and handicapped people simply be a part
of the canvas, getting into all the usual soap plots that the "normal"
people do. Show that there is more to life than being gay or being blind.

For me, they haven't done anything to make Kyle the least bit
sympathetic. So I'm
not interested in seeing him happy in his love life when he's been such
an overall
lout. He's like the male version of Stacy.

sure they ever knew what to do with her, and now she's gone.

OMG Alane! C'mon. Really?

How many people have come to Llanview with a scheme or a past that
made them a terrible person who we grew to like?? *Too many to
count.**
Hmm.. just off the top of my head... Roxy, Kelly (when she came along
and was a teen she was atrocious), Jen, Jared, Max, Rex, David even!
Espcially David and everyone LOVES David now. Even when Marcie came to
town- she was first shown working at the hospital and meeting Jen and
helping her pass off a fake pregnancy (or some such thing). And we
love Marcy now. I would say Natalie but even still no one likes her
LOL. Ans those are just the ones off the very top of my brain and i've
only just had one cup of coffee so far this morning.

So- really. I don't see why you have such a disdain for the guy when
we hardly know the first thing about him other than he got involved in
a few shady dealings when he hit town-- as did everyone i listed
above. That does not make him unredeemable. Stacy- she can go straight
to hell as far as i care.
I think maybe you have more against him that just him being
unscrupulous.

Maybe he's being played by a bad actor, too. ;) There are just certain
characters
who leave me cold. He's one of them. To tell you the truth, I'm not
crazy about
Cole, either. I was hoping the rumors of his demise back in the car accident
were true a few months ago. No such luck. He hasn't done anything other than
be dull, really.

Ya know.. to be fair- i have to admit Gary has said the same to me
about Stacy. As much as i despise her he says maybe another actress
would make it much more watcher-friendly and enjoyable to hate.
Apologies Alane.
Some actor leave me cold too and it affects how one views the whole
character.

Didn't mean to imply otherwise in hindsight.
Peace.
