HELP!!
To the best of my knowledge, this song can be attributed to
Lindsey Buckingham, who was the main creative force behind
Fleetwood Mac before going solo. The album this song is taken
from was well received by critics, though I can't offer an
opinion since I don't have it yet. I do have _Out of the
Cradle_, Buckingham's 1992 album, and it is great!
If I am mistaken about the source please let me know since
I would also like to get the song someday.

P.S. Sorry about the previous errant posts.
The song you refer to is called "D.W. Suite" by Lindsey
Buckingham. I don't know the album.
There is a book called "The Northern Exposure Book" by Louis
Chunovic that has a complete song listing for the first three and
a half episode of Northern Exposure. This was my source in
answering your question.

>HELP!!
I never saw the episode, and I hate it when people have to add
something when they can't answer a question, but here goes:
I know a song by Lindsey Buckingham that has those same lyrics.
It is a pretty song. Was this the song that was played? I
used to listen to it a few years ago. Can't remember what the
album is called, though I still have it at home.
Sorry if I was wrong.

I'd really like to get the "If we all go insane, we can all go together"
song too, so if anyone knows anything about it...?
Solveig
It's from the same album (Go Insane) but is part of the song D.W. Suite...

You've already heard that it's part of DW Suite (for Dennis Wilson, one of the
Beach Boys). The musical theme is from an old English song, as I recall:
"Wild Mountain Thyme" (Will you go, lassie, go / And we'll all go togehter / To
pull wild mountain thyme / from among the purple heather) that was covered by
tne New Christie Minstrels (I do believe) a looooonnnng time ago (like in the
early 60's). Don't know if it's still available.
