(And before you ask: no, I _don't_ have anything better to do, at
least until new episodes of The Simpsons return in late October (or
early November if the World Series lasts 7 games).)
And while I'm at it...how about the three Wahorns:
1 - "Wahorn's Famous Pizza" (the pizza with the bugs Krumm ate)
2 - "Dr. Wahorn, DDS" (the dentist)
3 - A. Rex Wahorn, listed in the credits as a Design/Background
artist

I guess it's true - Simon just isn't "all there"
The Gromble Says: "Where Do You Think You're Going?"
1. "The Festival Of the Festering Moon" (?)
Once in a while, monsters feel a twitch when its close to a full
moon. When they do, the shed their old skin. However, something bad (or
good; I'm not telling) happens to whoever molts last, with Ickis being
the likely candidate as the final molter.
2. Simon's Big Score
Simon is appearing at all of out mobsterly trio's scares, but
what's "bugging" them? (Hint, hint.)
This episode, like all others, will be seen again at 7PM ET Saturday,
in case you've missed it.

Neat episode. Does anyone know who does the voice of Simon? The
credits zip by so fast at the end I've never figured that out...
Keep in mind that the YTV newsgroup is now open. If you have anything
to say regarding YTV's programs in Canada (whick is half-Nick,
half-A&E), use this newsgroup, and spread the word, as many YTV fans
are yearning for news and events regarding this fine network. (I line
in the US, which means no YTV, but I still think this is worthwhile).
If your internet provider does not carry this newsgroup, ask for it.

The Gromble Says: (unfortunately, I didn't understand most of what he
said; if anyone can fill me in, I'll appreciate it.)
1. Krumm Gets Ahead
Krumm, tired of carrying his eyes in his hands, decided to get a
head transplant. This means free hands, but even free hands have its
pitfalls.
2. It's Only A Movie
Ickis, after seeing a cuddly bear movie while scaring, is now
paranoid that that bear is roaming the halls of the academy. Special
Treat: an unlikely monster gets snorched.

better children's books are sold.

WAHORN WATCH: The movie is being shown at the Wahorn Theater. (One of
the background artists is A. Rex Wahorn; in the first episode of the
season, there was a Wahorn's Pizza and the dentist's name was Dr.
Wahorn)

How many kids asked their parents what Oblina meant by "aluminium",
and how many parents knew the real answer?
=---------------------
Hi there,
I have just discovered Real Monsters, and I think its great! A couple of
questions though...
1) is Zimbo the one-legged bee on the head of Snortch?
2) Is there any episode guides on-line anywhere?
3) Any URLs?
4) Why such an abrupt ending at the end of 'the combustible Iccus` episode...you
remember? They went back to the fishing after iccus had 'a better idea'
thanks

I was put on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things...
Right now I am so far behind...
I'll never die! ;=)
Unfortunately, I haven't a chance to see this episode yet; however,
I've taped it Saturday (10/5/96). When I see it, I'll include my review
here.

The Gromble Says: (I have no idea what he's talking about. Does
anyone?)
1. The Amulet of Emerog (?)
This amulet is the highest award ever given to a monster. In this
episode, the Gromble lent it to Ickis so Ickis can clean it. However,
He wore it on a scare, which ended up getting lost.
Blooper Dept: When Ickis scares, he grows, and the amulet's chain
broke off. However, when the fashion designer found the amulet, the
chain was intact. Also, how in the world did the designer make copies
of the amulet so fast?
2. Bad Hair Day
On a prank, a couple of students shaved off Krumm's pit hairs, whic
takes 17 years to grow. However, Ickis found hair tonic that helped
Krumm's hair grow back, and grow, and grow, and grow...
Remember to watch "Real Monsters" at 7PM ET this Saturday if you miss
this episode.

I couldn't figure out what The Gromble said in this one - "(something)
up, slimeball"
Monster Blues - After Ickis is humiliated by a Snorching, he runs away
and befriends a blind jazz musician (where did Klasky-Csupo dig up Taj
Mahal?), who teams up with Ickis to prevent his adopted home from
being torn down
I Heard The Snorch Call My Name - With a little help from Dr. Buzz
Kutt, Snorch is able to talk like everybody else, and Oblina is
impressed by his intellect (unlike the juvenile antics of her two
roommates), but Zimbo is jealous of Snorch's new friend
(Note that Snorch has two actors doing his voice - Brock Peters as the
talking Snorch and David Eccles as the "grunting" Snorch)

I think it's "You lost what?"

Enfarg (I assume it's an anagram for something)

I noticed that too - also, when the amulet broke, the necklace's beads
were round, but at all other times they were more like ovals

But what was Ickis supposed to do with the amulet if he was going out
on a scare and couldn't keep an eye on it?
1. Monster Blues
After being ridiculed by the other monsters, Ickis leaves the
academy and moves into a condemned building, where he is befriended by
its only resident -- a blind blues singer.
2. I Hear The Snorch Call My Name
Tired of having Zimba speak for him, Snorch decides to have a
voice box implanted. He gains friendship with Oblina, but is the voice
box best for him? Or Zimba?

The Gromble Says: "Oblina, help me!"
1. Could They Stop The Brain?
After hours upon hours of studying, Oblina's brain decides to
jump ship and lead its own life. Meanwhile, Oblina is back at the
academy as a zombie.
2. Cement Heads
3 convicts, sentenced to over 75 years as gargoyles, break out
after they convince Ickis that they've been framed. However, you
shouldn't trust strangers all the time.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This will be my last list until November 10, as I'll be im Michigan on
vacation, visiting relatives. Unfortunately, the folks I'll be staying
with have no internet, satellite, or cable. If someone can fill in for
a couple of weeks, it'll be appreciated.

The Gromble Says: ???
1. Ickis and the Red Zimbo
Ickis has found a remote controlled toy plane, and started using it
for his scares. However, this leaves Zimbo jealous, as he's the only
other thing that flies.
2. Oblina and the 3 Humans
Babysitting the Gromble's nephew, Oblina tells a story of a monster
who lives under the bridge and 3 German men who wanted to cross it
(similar to "The 3 Billy-Goats Gruff"). However, no one is satisfied
with how it ends.
Special Programming Notes:
1. Look for "Real Monsters", the original "Doug", "Rocko", and
"Rugrats" on your local station through Halloween for special Nicktoon
Halloween specials; check listings.
2. Nick will show a 3-hour "Real Monsters" marathon Saturday, 10/26/96
from 9AM to noon ET.
3. Nick will present "Nick Or Treat" Saturday, 10/26 and Thursday,
10/31. This Saturday, because of this, "Real Monsters" will be seen at
6:30PM ET. I don't know if Nick will be repeating the above episode or
show the Halloween "Real Monsters".
