From what I understand, there are doubtless many viewers of "Rocket Power"
who
wonder where the fictionalised resort town of "Ocean Shores" (as is the
milieu
of the series) is situate.

Obviously, "Ocean Shores" is presumably in Southern California.

And if you'd like some evidence to that effect:

*If you notice the aerial view of the beach/pier area (e.g., in the show's
opening title sequence), you may easily pick up elements of the likes of
Santa
Monica/Venice, especially in terms of the presence of hills rising up from
the
coast. (Said hills figure prominently in several episodes as involve story
lines revolving around inline skating, skateboarding and even one episode
involving "body luge.")

*That sign over the entrance to The Pier (as well as a slightly similar one
over the entry to the Mad Town skatepark) easily brings to mind the entrance
sign at the Santa Monica Pier in terms of design.

*Look closely in the episode "The Longest Day," just as the Rockets (and
Lars'
team) are beginning that one-day xtreme sport marathon aimed at winning them
a
place on the Wall of Fame at the Shore Shack: Recall that the sun rises in
the
east and moves from east to west through the course of the day. The sun can
just be seen to rise in the hills above Ocean Shores, while the beach/ocean
area is still essentially in pre-dawn twilight.

*A number of Southern California locales are mentioned by name in several
episodes; e.g., Catalina Island ("The Jinx"), Malibu ("The Fall and Rise of
Otto") and Oxnard (can't recall the title, but I do know it involves a
beach-volleyball team Reggie joins briefly).

*The licence plate as reads "TWISTER" on the lowrider limousine in the
fantasy
sequence as begins the episode "Twisted Away" was of the kind which
California
issued from 1969 until 1980; i.e., yellow lettering on a dark-blue
background.
(Plates issued prior to 1969 had a black background.)

Need any more convincing?

Does anybody else have any other evidence to substantiate?
