Yes, the original TV Land _has_ deteriorated in the past half decade.
"Reality" shows and the addition of late-90's and newer series has
sucked the life out of original concept of retro TV.

TV Land (Canada)
http://www.tvlandcanada.com/

Deja View
http://www2.canada.com/topics/entertainment/tvchannels/dejaview/index.html

What we lose is classic dramas. Deja View has cut back its piddly
slate (from its Fall 2009 schedule) of dramas to _only_ 'Rockford
Files', airing on the weekends only. Now Comedy Gold will be airing
just sitcoms.

RTN - Retro Television Network, the digital sub-channel retro TV
channel, seems to be the new and last stop for a retro TV channel done
right. Sadly, it's only available OTA (over-the-air) and each market
(US city) has its own unique schedule, but they do things like air
retro bumpers and commericals... just what TV Land _use_ to do when it
first launched.

Here in Canada, unless you live near the Canadian/US border, you won't
get RTN OTA (mine would be on WXYZ-TV Detroit).

Shows like 'SCTV', while considered desirable to Americans, kicks
around from channel to channel (to channel to channel to channel) due
to Cancon rules (Canadian content quotas). Our version of Comedy
Central, The Comedy Network, all around SUX, so I nixed watching it
('SCTV'), but _may_ watch this time around on Comedy Gold.

I admit Canadians are "spoiled" by having 2 retro TV channels to
counter-program.
