PROGRAMMING (SERIES STARTS ONLY) FOR HOLIDAY MONDAY FIRST,
THESE WILL BE FOLLOWED BY THE REGULAR SATURDAY/SUNDAY PROMOS.

This Canada Day, In preparation for the Olympics. CBC Radio
Sports has prepared a special, two-hour Olympic journey
called To Take Part. Rick Cluff speaks with eight Canadian
Olympic athletes about their hopes for the games in Atlanta.

medals, but on the special experience of taking part. Cluff
also talks with and about the people in the athlete's lives
who have helped them achieve the Olympic spirit. Don't miss
"To Take Part" with host Rick Cluff this afternoon at 4:00
(4:30 NT) on CBC Radio.

particular region of Canada. That's A Sense of Place,
Monday morning, starting at 6 on CBC Radio.

Cambridge Ontario this weekend for the 4th Annual
Newfoundland Garden Party. Journalist Ted Blades pays homage
to the joys and regrets of people from The Rock who've
remade their lives on the mainland. That's Garden Party on

began. "As It Happened" is a series of retrospectives
produced in the 1970s, and on Monday night you can catch a
glimpse at what was happening as the mother corp was being
born. The Spanish Civil War was raging, Edward VIII was
