Starting April 6, Pam Dawber (Harmon's wife) is suppose to be appearing
for four episodes. It's possible that she will be a romantic interest.
Also, there's talk that Harmon will only appear in a handful of episodes
next season and will no longer be full time. He would have left
completely but it would mean the show would be cancelled. However, the
ratings are sure to tank without him full time, especially if McGee is
leading the team. It would be best for them just to cancel the show
outright than to have it dwindle even further.

I agree. No full time Gibbs, no NCIS. Nobody else on the team is strong enough to
carry the show as the main character. Harmon will turn 70 just before next season
starts. It's logical that he would be ready for retirement while he's still able to
enjoy it.

She showed up as a reporter. Having seen her mostly from Mork and Mindy,
it was a little hard to recognize her.
We may have also seen Gibbs replacement in Special Agent Tyler. Although
it seems odd that Gibbs had up to five members on his team while this
new team only has two. If they do go forward without Gibbs, that would
leave no completely original members on the team, with McGee being the
closest since it started first season. Everyone else would be much later
additions. It would basically be a whole new show.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd settle for the series ending if Gibbs won't be
actively involved in cases. There's not another character at this point who's strong
enough to carry it.

they've continued to broadcast new shows, but the show effectively ended when ziva left. i've continued to watch, but in the seasons since, i couldn't tell you a series arc to save my life whereas before that i can still tell you what happened each season. the final straw was the departure of the pauley perrette character. i so dislike who they cast to replace her i fast forward through scenes with her in them and don't mind than missing out on clues.

and in eighteen seasons they still have yet to cast an asian male in any sort of positive masculine role while they had that arc with the female asian spy running around in leopard underwear having a torrid affair with the geeky palmer. did some asian kid beat bellesario out of a high school award or something?

i have JAG downloaded and routinely rewatch episodes, but i know that i will not bother to re-watch any post-ziva NCIS episode. as it turns out, the only NCIS LA episodes i've seen after their first season were the ones that had harm & mac.

whether they end the series this season or not, i'm probably not going to bother following a season 19.
