Hi all,

I originally got to wikipedia looking up the death of Captian Kirk (Star
Trek), and through a bunch of links eneded up back on my favourite
topics of MWC, UEA and Ron Leavitt.

I read the entry for Star-ving and had a good laugh just at the premise.

Have any of you old die-hard fans of MWC seen Star-ving?

I'd love to hear your opinion before I commit money in order to get
sufficient bandwidth to download it all... assuming I can find it still
hosted somewhere.

I still love MWC and UEA. The Wiki entry for UEA said it rated 30th
among the 50 WORST shows on TV - what a bum rap. It was absolutely
brilliant! Having a laugh at Jacks insanity was perhaps too close to the
bone for some people, but the theme, and the character of Mr Floppy were
brilliant, as was the ethos of having a show take the piss out of intself.

How you all doin' anyway? Still living a Bundyfull life?

Yep. Funny bunch of shorts. You know you can watch it here, right?

Uh, the entire first season was only a little over a gigabyte. Pretty
small by today's standards. Are you on dialup?

I didn't see UEA when it first ran, simply because I didn't know it
was on. They ran it here on some second rate half-assed network.

Meh.

Thanks for that. In theory I'm on broadband, but on an account limited
to 5GB per month, and once I hit 5GB it drops to dialup speed. But if
there are options available for the quality of the download files, I
don't want to be watching some tiny pixellated box, so I need to plan in
advance for when my data cap gets lifted again.

Currently still using up my monthly alottments of data on getting all of
a Steam purchase from about a year ago!

To purchase an additional 5GB costs $40, partly thanks to being part of
a small population in one of the more isolated parts of the world...
those who own the international data cable can charge all they like due
to no alternatives being available.
They even limit how much of the cable is made available (ie, they slow
us all down) and have half the cable sitting idle.

Kinda sucks though - buy games on Steam at a good price, but have your
data volume charges effectively triple the cost of actually getting that
data.

Hey, I've gone and DL'd Star-ving, and it's damn good!

Faustino has eaten a big piece of humble pie to do this, and is giving
bloody funny performances.

The F word features strongly at times, and there's a tad more of
Faustino's skin on display than I'd like (but I'm straight, and that's
half the joke).

Hope there's going to be another series!

Pity, but it's a tad too hardcore to make it to TV still, but it's
definitly gonna be part of my collection... as long as he keeps his
underwear on!

When was this made? I suspect Leavitt would have pissed himself watching
this.

Made about a year ago; it aired in January of this year. Gotta love a
MWC reunion =)

I think a DVD is coming out soon...?

The DVD is already out. Pretty much the same as posted on Crackle,
just a little bigger file size and slightly better resolution.

I also hope there will be a sequel, and have passed it on to David
F. a few times.
