Looking for your help to solve a contest of wills between my
roommate and I. I showed her Spike Lee's "Crooklyn", and
the ensuing argument on life, the universe, and everything,
it became apparent that among other things we disagree on is
the identity of the actress that plays Susan on Sesame
Street. She's willing to tell the world that Alfre Woodard,
known for "Passion Fish", "Mandela", and of course
"Crooklyn", is the person in question, while I am convinced
otherwise. Sesame Street no longer has credits...only that
pseudo hip-hop-pop-reggae mishmash, so I ask aal of you. I
remember Linda is Linda Bove, Mr. Hooper was Will Lee, and
Bob is Bob Mcgrath. Any other members of the human cast of
Sesame Street is welcomed and appreciated (OH YEAH!!
Savion...Savion Glover) Please respond at the above E-mail
address.

Thank you for you help

I haven't watched Sesame Street for a long time, but is Savion Glover still
on? I'm wondering how much time his broadway show takes up.

And though I don't know who plays Susan, it is definintely NOT Alfre Woodard.

They still show sketches he was in, but he doesn't do much now in the
storyline. Carlo seems to be taking the role of "younger grownup" figure
on the show.

It's Loretta Long.

I emailed the person who posted the question, but in case you were
wondering:

Susan on Sesame Street is played by Loretta Long, not Alfre Woodard.

Best regards,

Well, I don't know about his show, but the 50 hours of community service he
was sentenced to for possession of marijuana should take up a lot of time.
I'm not kidding-- it was in the newspapers on Friday. He was caught with
three bags of marijuana in his truck, and pleaded guilty.

Maybe he could get his lawyer to argue that appearing on Sesame Street
counts as community service.
