What! Damn! I have a long history of being offended at mainstream
award
show attempts at giving hip-hop awards, but suddenly MTV has turned
into
the Grammies. J-Lo! Featuring Ja-Rule (the DMX clone)! Who the hell
had
their head stuck up J-Lo's ass?

Never mind that Outkast should not be beat by J-Lo, period. How is it
that
pretty much every damn video besides Outkast features an R&B artist?
And
how is it that a video that's an R&B artist featuring a rapper can
even be
nominated in this category, much less win the m*tha f*cka! Even
Jennifer
Lopez was suprised she won, probably surprised she was even nominated.

I'm glad hip-hop has come such a long way, now we get deodorant and
Sprite
ads, and MTV can give a hip-hop award to an R&B singer. Great.

I guarantee, next year, Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park will win best
hip-hop video.

I detess hip hop and rap..I hate mtv for turning its back on rock and
roll..and heavy metal.. In the early and mid80's..metal was still
alive..till rap came along spoiled everything..thats why I detess rap..

Heavy metal or hair band/?? MTV never really showedd much heavy metal.
Poison, bon jovi, warrant and other shit were not better than rap or hip
hop. And nice to know your close mindedness about some music. I can see how
one can prefer one genre over another. But lighten up and enjoy other forms
of music. MTV always showed rap- PE, Run DMC, Snoopp, all the classic
artists.
You are telling me the hair bands were much better than Public Enemy ? And
to blame a genre's demise on the emergence of new genre is stupid. Besides
what killed the hair bands were bands like Nirvana which showed how shallow
the 80s hair metal bands were, not rap.


The problem is MTV is rarely showing videos and when they show, it is mostly
the most boring versions of R&B, hip hop or boy bands.

open mind..only to my own music not that bullshit you love of crap rap.

Metal and rock..was showing on mtv before freak music rap set there
black ugly face in..

So don't tell me that bullshit..go listen to your n---music..and GO
