Hello,

The Monday before the release date, excitedly I swiftly walked to the
record store. Ignoring the debt I have financially and remembering the debt
to myself for some rock and roll that is nowadays scarce to hear, I inserted
the circus and I have yet to stop listening at home for more than an hour.
Work is filled with the sound of my voice singing and quoting this cd
already. When my car is back from the shop, into the tape deck goes the
ninety minute shuffled two sided cassette for more as loud as the sound can
go un-adultrated KISS. PHEW! The men have returned with the best upbeat rock
and roll of the decade. Full of sing-a-longs, air guitars and table top
drumming songs, the "Psycho Circus" is awesome. The entire cd is full of
energy and has its own ability to bring energy to a rock and roll scene
that. Even with some other great artists there is yet to be a rock and roll
recording such as this.

During summer of 1989, Paul Stanley was singing "Raise Your Glasses" in
a bar within Lake Placid, New York. It is from the people before, then and
the performances around the globe that this song gets its life. Thank you
Queen, there now is an encore after yours. Some of the best sounding music
can only be created and found from being within the places where people live
to live more. "I Pledge Allegiance To The State Of Rock And Roll". I want
to be there within the crowd during "Within". There is this beat and
overall need that is clearly sang about that brings this demonic song
together from the portrayed demon himself, Gene Simmons. "I Finally Found
My Way" is the best blues ballad effort I have ever heard from Peter Criss
and has the potential to be saturated within the adult contemporary forever.
"Into The Void" is pure fun. Ace Frehley takes insanity and gives it an
excellent set of lyrics. The guitar is a culmination of the best of Ace
with KISS and many new differences. "We Are One" is the best "bring people
together" song of the decade from any rock and roll artist and proves to be
number one worthy. The best songs from Gene Simmons in many a year are on
this cd. "Dreamin" verse one is much like my life lately sans the cold
empty bed and the first time I fully read the lyrics was Monday. "Journey
Of 1000 Years" is the welcome to hell where for being evil and I am
devilishly happy to keep you there for your sins song that is innocently
sounding enough yet one look at Gene Simmons and the sinister side of this
song has its attraction. Is Gene Simmons singing to John Lennon in heaven, a
man that is an inspiration to KISS? In fact every song Gene Simmons gives
this effect. Paul Stanley has finally come forth with seriously
competitive material that speaks volumes for every rock and roll artists
ever. Ace Frehley has provided some awesome guitar work that indeed proves
why Ace Frehley is fantastic for bringing simplicity and emotion together.
I am glad that The Who and Peter Criss had worked different music for KIS
has the greatest from the story to the music story drummer whom put together
blues and jazz into one awesome rock and roll cd. "You Wanted The Best" has
a drum fade out that leaves me with the image of KISS performing a
instrumental and with a Peter Criss drum solo back to more of "You Wanted
The Best". I was disapointed with the chorus vocals of this song but like
most songs, there will be a time when I can appreciate it more. I think it
is an attempt to just be a band whom is having fun and an ode to some
material that has stood the test of time. There is this circus that is
coming to town. I hear and read that it is of psychos. I understand that I
am welcome and there is a guide. Well KISS the song "Psycho Circus" is how I
know of this circus. So does America and the world. Simply brilliant:-)

Sincerely,

William K. Mahler
