According to Sampo's 'This Date In MSTory' post for the 12th of
February, over at mst3kinfo.com, on this date in 1863 Charles Schaeffer,
who played Magma in the _Undersea Kingdom_ serial, was born.

After a year of checking the Date in MSTory with just some days
missed by accident, I feel I can say with reasonable confidence: this
is the earliest-born person to have participated in an MST3K'd movie or
short.
I might have overlooked somebody. He *seems* to be the only
person born before the end of the Civil War to appear on MST3K, except
for Leonardo da Vinci.
