here's some ideas for some spinoffs of mst.

A Saturday morning cartoon staring tom servo and gypsy ( hey crow and
mike shoulden't always get the spotlight!) They could make fun of merry
melodies and luney toons. Plus other cancelled shows like garfeild and
friends, swat kats ect. Heck maybe even an occasional x-man or
gargoyles.

A half hour show of them just doing skits and things like that,
what would be really is if they made fun of the real comercials.

And somthing else like mike and crow doing something.... like
introducing real sci-fi moviesamd then saying facts of the movie while
in comercials. (Kinda like how carrie fisher did the SW's triology on
scifi chan.)

How about "The Minsky Show"? I can just see the headlines now:
COMEDY CENTRAL PICKS UP MST3K SPINOFF
Cable network Comedy Central announced today that they had
signed a deal with Best Brains, Inc. to air a spin-off series of
Mystery Science Theater 3000, also known as MST3K, which Comedy
Central cancelled last year.
The series will revolve around a one-shot character on MST3K,
a robot named "Minsky". This, ironically, comes just as MST3K
has been picked up by the Sci-Fi Channel. Doug Herzog, Comedy
Central president, said that the network had been looking for
fresh comedy ideas and had been in discussions with Best Brains
for over a year. The key factor, he said, was cost: "Any lower
and they would be paying us to air it". Also, as he understood
it, the robot was "atomic-powered" and would need little maintenance
over the span of the proposed series.
The theme for the new show was prefigured in Comedy Central's
much discussed "Nonburning Yule Log" program, which was aired
recently during the Christmas Holidays. The robot, which mechanically
repeats a cheery greeting for as long as its atomic power source
lasts, parallels the log, which never burning, presents a challenge
to our expectations of utility in normally useful objects.
"We have already received a torrent of voicemail, faxes,
and e-mail from people giving us their best wishes; so we know
the concept has support", Mr. Herzog said.

CC DEBUTS "THE TORGO SHOW"

July 2: Cable comedy giants Comedy Central today announced
yet another spinoff of the wildly popular yet
inexplicably-cancelled Mystery Science Theater 3000. The
new show is called "The Torgo Show" and will star one of
the most popular characters ever to appear on MST3K, Torgo
the "Satyr".

CC officials said that the show would be of a
"comedy-variety" format with weekly celebrity guests and a
musical guest. CC also announced that the location for the
show would be a formerly abandoned house somewhere in
Texas. Guests will "drop in" unexpectedly, pretending to
be lost travelers, which should add a humorous twist to the
procedings.

The premeire is slated for July 24th at 8pm. Guests will
include Hal and his family, and the music will be provided
by the Jack "three-note piano" Johnson. Unconfirmed
reports state that an actual CATFIGHT will occur on air.
CC would neither confirm or deny the rumors.

Hey, better yet, how about a spinoff where they spend a half-hour
joking about all the movies being nominated for Oscars and never get
around to heckling a single B-movie?...

(--no, please, let's not bring THAT up again...in the name of
humanity!!) : 0

How about Young Mitchell? This would be Mitchell's son in that he would
never get out of bed, drink Mug rootbeer instead of Schlitz, and yell at
adults while he rode by them on his skateboard. Oh, by the way, he would
wear a checkered jacket and eat constantly.
