I have a Millennium soundtrack that appears to be something of a
mystery. I purchased it on eBay a good while before the "Best of
Millennium" soundtrack was available on iTunes.

I had forgotten I owned it until I found it in a pile of CDs this
weekend. I've been listening to it and comparing it to the iTunes
release.

Interestingly enough, it is a pressed CD (as opposed to a CD-R) but it
came with no track listing or liner notes. Some of the tracks are the
same musical cues as the iTunes release, but with slightly different
mixing. Some cues are on the iTunes release but not on this CD, and
vice versa.

Does anyone anywhere know the origin of this CD? If so, can you give me
a track listing? If no one's heard of this, I'd be happy to post it to
alt.binaries.tv.millennium ... and perhaps those with more impetus than
myself could help identify the unknown tracks.

This really is a quality recording, and it appears to have music not
available elsewhere. Help me put the finishing touches on this, and
I'll post a high-quality version for everyone to enjoy.

Looking forward to hearing more about this ...

The CD I have is indeed pictured on that page. It's the one with the
grayscale cover. The info link from MDUK turns up a 404, however.

The track listing there seems to be either a very bad translation or
just completely made up. If I were to go ahead and post this release,
would anyone in the group be willing to try to identify some of the
tracks. We could put together our listing and get it submitted to
Gracenote or CDDB.

As I noted earlier, some of the tracks duplicate the iTMS release,
albeit with slightly different mixing. Some of the music is unique to
this CD.

Let me know what a good plan of action might be from here.
